I went to the store to on 8/24 to upgrade to my first smartphone and get rid of my three year old LG Env2. I scoured this thread trying to figure out when people were getting their phones. I called Customer Service and asked them and they said they didn't receive the tracking yet, they don't get it until fedex gets it but they gave me my Order Number and Location Code. I waited some more days. Browsed this site, watched youtube videos, reread the engadget review a few times. I called Customer Service today and the lady told me that they had nothing on record. There was nothing on her screen telling her that I would be receiving a phone. I was a little surprised and figured she was probably mistaken. Luckily, she was. I called the store I purchased the phone from and they told me the same thing I heard about the tracking blah blah when originally call a few days after making the purchase. She even said I could possibly just receive it today in the mail. Way to get my hopes up, right? I figured I had to try being even more patient. Then, finally, minutes ago, I checked the Order Status on Verizon's website for the 63rd time and got what I was waiting for.
I'll have to wait until the 8th to get it but at least I know that it is on its way. Who knows, maybe Froyo will be out by then.
Sorry for the rant. I'm trying so hard to be patient. I want my Droid!
