[ROM] [NIGHTLY] UNOFFICIAL CM9/ICS For Droid 4 For MotoICS Leak

I did, I used safestrap, disabled safe mode, created a backup on my external, install from .zip, chose the CM9 ICS leak from 07-03, once installed did the install for gapps, wiped system cache, enabled safe mode, rebooted. when rebooting it showed the same startup as the Leaked ICS .213, but before the system turned on it said upgrading android and started uploading about 135 files.

I'm not sure how to take screen shots.. but I'll post the numbers:

I put the @ sign in parenthesis in case there are spammers out there..

you need to enable safe mode and flash the rom on your safe side. you can flash on the unsafe safe.

Enable safemode, flash, reboot. Do not disable unless you want to go back to stock ICS.

from safestrap? or from power + volume buttons?
Sorry.. dont wanna brick.

When the phone boots it prompts if you want to enter safestrap. Press the MENU button. Then ENABLE safe systems and then flash your CM9 ROM and GAPPS then when its done you can clear cache and what not and then Reboot option.

Awesome thank you very much! its rebooting right now.
so basically safestrap is like a dual system? on one side you have stock, and the other side you have the ROM. if I were to go in to safestrap and disable safe mode, I would boot in ICS.. but if I want to go back, just enable safe mode, and I'm good to go and will boot back into the mod right?

Also, does it normally take forever to boot into the phone? I got the cyanogen boot animation, but now its just loading and loading... its still moving cause I can see the animation... but it's been like this for about 5 minutes now..

Yes it is a dual system and you can go back and forth as you please.

As for the booting the first time tends to take a little bit longer than any time after. If you have to, reboot into safestrap and clear cache and dalvik cache if you wish and then reboot again. I have even personally used the wipe data and factory reset my CM9 and then had it work for me. But idk if other advise that or not.

Thats what I did. I force powered down and reset/factory reset the phone. It worked finally. Now I'm just waiting for data to return so I can actually use my phone. lol. I have wifi, but no data.

Congratulations! ENJOY!!

Thanks for the help!
I'll prob add on to my walkthrough.
Just hoping I get data soon.

If I lose data randomly I just toggle airplane mode and then toggle it off. It works for me. I never did the whole toggle to GSM and back and forth.. so try that maybe?

I will randomly lose data occasionally. If you do, check that Airplane mode isn't on. If it is, turn it off and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, go to System Settings, and then under Wireless & Networks, click on More, then Mobile Networks. Check your Network Mode - I have mine set to LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA. I'm assuming it makes no difference to me if I'm on that vs LTE / CDMA, since those seem to be the only modes I'd connect anyway. Make sure it's not on GSM if you're in the US.

If all else fails, reboot and check these settings again. I've never had data not come back up if I did that.

Edit: I should note this was on the 6/24 build. May not be an issue on newer builds.

I've actually noticed a problem when on LTE/CDMA. Signal strength seems to drop considerably for me. On LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA I will have 4 bars at home. Switching to LTE/CDMA drops it to 2 bars. Can't explain it but I tested it multiple locations and every time it drops by around half.
