[Odin] Full EB01 Froyo leak, packaged ROMs w/root and new clockwork **UPDATED**2/11

I'm expecting my Fascinate today and plan on putting 2.6 on ASAP. So I have a coupla questions. If When I activate, it offers me the update that was pushed out, should I accept or no?

Also, as for clarification of 2.6, How would you summarize it? WHat exactly does superclean mean? haha I'd like froyo with flash and no bloatware or lag at all... Thats all i need. What would y'all suggest?
Also also, I see alot of posts saying they tried all day to put this on their devices... is it that had? the instructions seem pretty easy. Lemme know something. Thanx again y'all.
If your going to ODIN the files in this thread it wont matter if you accept the update or not, this will wipe and replace it all anyway...

SuperClean is a debinged, debloated, de-touchwizzed version of Froyo for the Fascinate, It is the cleanest, most stable build you can run i think...

Its not hard but not everyone is tech saavy and/or familiar with this device enough when they set out to do this, so....some people have further issues and some have none....depends on your experience and general knowledge of CWMR and ODIN

Its gingerbread based CWMR...dont bother using it yet

I didn't know that would matter. I guess I need to read more about the fascinate because I'm so used to my droid. I thought it would be the same, and you could use the same recovery no matter what Android version.

What makes the Fascinate so different in that area?

This CWMr update was more prepatory than functional at the moment...its coded differently and wont install anything you have/use right now...trust me i thoroughly tested it
Its for future development and is a good hint we will see some Gingerbread love......maybe.....lol

I see. ok. thank you so much for the info. 2.6 it is for me, I think.
And I actually have NO clue about CWMR or ODIN and was indeed tempted to cry while reading up on all of this but I've done some minor modding before so hopefully i'll be fiiine

I have read the first post probably about at least 10x. Attempted to flash Samsung Fascinate at least 15x with all versions of Super clean, and even with full stock firmware. It always get stuck on modem.bin, then fails.

I'm loosing hope. Any help at this point is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is your computer haveing trouble staying connected to your phone. Mine was and is was getting stuck in the same spot. I kept uninstalling and reinstalling the phone drivers and i redownloaded superclean2.4 and tried about ten more times and it kept goig alitle further and finally it just went. So far ive had no troubles with anything sincec i got it rooted. I can even connect to the computer right away and not have to restart the computer. So in a nut shell dont give up. I had to walk away for awhile it was so irritating.

Yes, I needed to extract it anyway otherwise it won't show up on ODIN.

If you cant get it to work after several tries I suggest redownloading the ODIN SC file and trying again new

I have downloaded THEM at least 5x. I suspect it could be my USB wire. However, this is the same wire I use for the Captivate. It is also the same wire I used to install Continuum ROM for my Captivate. Go figure. Darn USB cords.

I will try a different USB cord.

I was having some driver problems with my phone as well. Give this a shot. Turn on USB Debugging and Set the Phone to USB Mass Storage just like you usually would. Now make sure it is unplugged from the PC. Turn the Phone off, insert the USB Cord into the phone and the PC. Turn phone on. It should get recognized and the driver will stay connected.

Hey guys um....dont kill me here im a complete newbie....did I have to wipe all data before rooting?and did I have to extract or open the update.zip?or do I just download it?and would anyone be able to give me a link to the newest odin version?ive read that I may need to download a different version of odin or just redownload.

This is the issue. Phone will not boot up. The owner did something to it. He can't get it to pass the phone + pc icon. Neither can I. However, I can get it to go download mode using the "removal of the battery; hold the volume button down then connect to pc" method. I'm just trying to reload the firmware back so I can get the phone to work.
