Hello All! I was wondering if someone can help me or direct me to the right direction. I followed the EB01 Debloated/Deodexed instructions on this thread and I just noticed that my clock is behind...a little over a minute. Is there a fix to this?

Thanks in advance!

PS- this is my first time rooting...ever

download ClockSync from market and when prompted allow permissions...it will auto sync your clocks...just go into settings as specify how often

hope that helps

I've downloaded it and will see what happens throughout the day. Thanks for your help and putting the Froyo leak here, Tapout27!

Sorry I forgot to ask...what is the cause of the time delay? Would this be the same case if I downloaded the superclean version instead?

Help?

Hey guys ive been trying to root over and over for the last week. I think i may have found my problem (after redownloading every file at least 4 times each.) I went to try again less than a half hour ago and it didnt work-but i noticed something. I had always been plugging the usb cable into the same port on my laptop. I decided i would try again in one of the other ports. This time as soon as i plugged it in and went into download mode, i got a pop up saying that it was trying to download the drivers. I thought i had downloaded the drivers. But, it said that it could not find the driver. Could any1 give me the exact download they used for a 64 bit computer?I download one from a link on androidcentral and it was a rar file but it didnt work, so i extracted and then tried again and it didnt work. Sorry for the long post. And, thanks for the help!

*UPDATE*
I didnt get the link from android central, i just searched it on Google-i got the tip to just Google it from androidcentral. But, there is a link to the 32 bit driver in the androidcentral version of this thread.

How to extract file

I'm getting ready to root my phone but the only thing I'm having problem with so far is step number 3. When I right click nothing comes up about extracting file. I have windows 7. Can anyone help with getting me to extract the file so I can get this thing rooted finally?

There are several steps on he first page of this thread. Trust me.....it took me forever to get it in my head too. Once you do it, it will be real simple the second time.

1) Download the udpate.zip-place it on your SD card not in any folder (do not unzip it)
2) download ODIN and your flavor of SuperClean. I would go with the latest as it has more things fixed and is cleaner than the previous version.
3) The flavor of SC you downloaded is in .rar form. You will need to extract it and from there you will get a file that has the .tar.md5 ending. This is the file you will need.
4) Follow the steps to place your phone into recovery mode and USB Debugging
5) Power down the phone, remove the battery and insert the USB cord into the phone and Computer (make sure you had the drivers installed before this). Hold down the Volume down key while doing this. You will see a large yellow triangle on the screen.
6) Open ODIN and click PDA, go to the SC.tar.md5 file you extracted. Hit start and let it run its course.
7) You will see a pass in the ODIN screen and the phone will go to an all black screen and be powered down.
8) Remove Cords, Insert battery and boot phone. It will take a little bit for this to happen.

You really only need to go into using the Update.zip file if you want to install a new ROM over top of the other (ie....updating from SC2.5 to SC2.6) You can also use Update.zip to wipe battery stats and wipe data for a new install over an old one.

EB16 nonVoodoo kernel is the newest leak kernel without the voodoo lagfix
The dummy tether module allows tethering without VZW seeing

At the bottom of the 1st post there is an extracter program you can download.

Still enjoying SC 2.5 (newb) installed but....

... if I wanted to go to the SC 2.6 the OP posted do I follow the same steps to update or is the process different?

I have the same question as eoniverse... I am on SC2.4 but want to update to 2.6. Do I open the update.zip file and then follow steps 4 through the end on the OP?

Also, I seem to be having some GPS issues (not getting a fix or VERY long times to get a fix off and on. Sometimes works fine, sometimes not. Anyone else having GPS issues?

While I am in question asking mode is there anyway to get wireless tethering to work in infrastructure mode? I have a rooted NOOK color but cant use my fascinate as an access point as it only works in ad hoc mode.

same steps....or you can download the SC v2.6 Rom and corresponding kernel here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/sa...opment/128376-rom-superclean-2-6-updated.html
and reboot into recovery manually(hold vol down, vol up and pwr butt for 12 seconds) and wipe cache, in advanced wipe dalvik cache, and flash v2.6 Rom then EB01/EB16 kernel.....reboot
