Just for Clarification so I am straight with this. If you want to use the wireless tether you need to download the ROM and the Eb16 kernel? If you don't want to use the wireless tether and only want the ROM then just install the ROM. So the only real benefit of the Kernel is to get the wireless tether without the verizon monitor.

yea otherwise according to sources in VZW they can monitor and charge for the tethering, hence the need for the dumby tethering module in the kernel

Good to know thanks. Sometimes this crap gets confusing with ROM's, Kernel's, Modem's, CWM, Odin etc....... Hard to keep track of it all.

I was able to update to the EB16SC26x last night with no problems. So this is for the Wireless Tether app or Barnacle or other 3rd party app? If we click on and enable the 3G Mobile Hotspot would I be using the VZW $30/month service? I'm a bit confused on this point.

its my understanding that it can be used with the dumby tethering module in that particular kernel...but...of course its at your own risk as always
its not a guarantee, but as of now i have not had any confirmation of anyone being charged for it

I have sc2.6 no wipe coming from stock.I did have a few "dump state app" errors in my astro file mngr?For some reason my launcher pro plus won't work.I can only get 3 home screens, and says I don't have the pro version? Any ideas?Been trying for hours to figure it outThanks for any help.

Yep, at work I am using one that came with a blackberry. They all fit the micromini.

If your phone wont connect make sure u have all this right. Usb debugging, locations, the right phone drivers for the windows version u have.
