[Odin] Full EB01 Froyo leak, packaged ROMs w/root and new clockwork **UPDATED**2/11

So i finally went for the SC 2.9 odin, love it, and so far none of the issues ive heard about (fingers crossed). Can anyone suggest a gingerbread or honeycomb theme that runs nice with this?

Yeah Ive seen that page, are all themes that say for froyo compatible with superclean? I was hoping more for a suggestion from someone that has or is running one with 2.9, i havent seen anyone with a signature referriny to 2.9 and a gingerbread theme.

I don't believe there is a gingerbread theme that's compatible with 2.9 sorry.

Hi I currently have a 2.1-update1 EA28 Samsung Fascinate. I want to root and get froyo and plan on using this guide but I have a couple questions first. My computer does not have a micro sd card slot so do i need to buy a sd card reader or can I download update.zip to it by plugging my phone into my computer with the usb cord? Also will I be able to go straight from 2.1-update1 to SC 2.9 or do i need to do something else first? Sorry if these are dumb questions.

Nitro HoneyComb, VA Green, transblue honeycomb and Nitro dark v3 are all fantastic. Just do a cache and dalvik cache wipe. Flash the theme first then reboot then flash the apps. Not all themes have seperate apps.

Either download to your phone and move it to the root of the card via astrofile or download it to your computer and put it on your sd through your phone.

You can go from elcair 2.1 to froyo superclean rom 2.9. Make sure you back up your conacts and apps. My back up pro from the market is good to do that. Make sure you odin the 2.9 data wipe. If you dont you could end up in force close he'll because your coming from 2.1 eclair.

Question for anyone who will answer:

If I installed 2.8SC Nonvoodoo and I wanted to update to 2.9/2.9.1SC Nonvoodoo, could I do it as an update in order to keep all of my programs n whatnot in tact or is this not possible?

Does Clockworkmod have a way to do this through a restore function?

If you are just going from 2.8 to 2.9 then you can just use the ROM file that is a .zip file (this is a different file than the ODIN file). You can then use CWM red to flash the .zip file for 2.9 over 2.8. When I did this I just wiped the Davlik and normal Caches and had all my data still intact (apps and contacts). If you are still wanting to use ODIN then you will not be able to save all that stuff unless you use something like Titanium Backup before hand to back it all up. Then after flashing with ODIN you can install Titanium Backup and restore the other apps from there.

I am not 100% sure on this as I don't use themes, but I do believe you just flash it over everything. You might have to reinstall the theme afterward if it goes back to stock 2.9.

Do people use managers for multi theme management? I've got the rom flash thing down and know i want to more freely play with themes ie: installing, removing at will, etc.

You talking about rom manager? It doesn't really work with our phone at the moment. So if stay away infill whats needs to be done gets done. And to can just download all the themes to your phone and have at it. I always flash a rom over a theme then flash a theme.
