He is saying last time none or some of the apps did not work because they were not made for 2.0.1 but worked on 2.0

We have been getting a lot of program updates from the market lately so i would assume those were to keep them compatible with the 2.1 update

So...when is this coming out, and when do you think there will be a zip file I can download and put it in my MicroSD card and update it to official 2.1 Droid firmware via recovery menu?

I just uninstalled the 2.1 news/weather widget, which was the only 2.1 app I had installed, just in case the OTA wants to screw with it/me. What is the general opinion on Swype? Think I should uninstall it? Think it'll even work after the update? I had made a brief switch to Shapewriter several weeks back before I realized I had lost my damn mind.
Damn, I hope Swype works after this update, I love that method a lot. Not sure if I can go back to either the physical keyboard or the virtual keyboard.

Supposed to come out tomorrow but I think it will take a few days to hit everyone. And im not sure about the update.zip that is what im going to have to wait for too. Who wants to update then wipe all info, make a nandroid backup and let us have it? or would that unroot us too?

You're not alone.

I just don't understand why we won't get everything the n1 gets. I would assume all the newer android OS's will take on the look of the n1 and we are going to have the old pull up tray. That's kinda dissapointing when you think about it. Would also love the live wallpapers. I sure hope engadget is wrong. Someone earlier in another thread said you can't take what engadget says to serious because they are iphone fanbois.
