Why do you say that?

The Nexus has no Keyboard which is a MAJOR selling point for the Droid.

I think the Nexus looks like poop.

The differences won't even be noticed by the average joe. One has a keyboard one doesnt. One is black and cool and one looks like a toy. Which do you want.

I mean children children. I would not trade for a Nexus.

I bought the phone knowing nothing about any further updates and I was happy with it.

99% of the 2M+ people who bought the Droid have no idea about what the other phones have or future updates.

You guys are in a vast minority here. Motorola couldn't care less about you since the other 99% are just happy to get new features.

If it has 3 home screens I'll either use an APK or a home replacement again - I won't wither and die.

But the 99% got this phone cause they probably thought it was cool, if they are the uninformed type... then when they see the nexus on verizon... bye bye droid with inferior features.. and moto can go back to dying

That's assuming that everyone thinks the Nexus One really is a superior phone.

I admit I was a little taken aback when it was announced so soon after I got my Droid, but once I'd seen the specs and the pics of the phone, and read the reviews, I concluded that I made the right decision. I still prefer Droid.

For those of you who prefer Nexus One, yeah, that's a bad deal.

A guy I work with bought his first gen iPhone the day it came out. Within a few weeks the price had dropped a couple of hundred dollars. He was pissed but that's the price of early adoption, sometimes.

@ LrdElderon, I see what you are saying but I think it's just business... Google is going to prioritize their latest high-profile project. And in the grand scheme of things, I think we have not waited all that long... yet.

It didn't come out today, but I wouldn't consider it postponed. They said it would be coming this week, and it's only Wednesday.

Could be a couple of things.

Moto's change log is incorrect and VZW wants it changed.

VZW wants to test the build longer.

I think it is a combination of both.
