"Official" Beautiful Widgets Skinning Thread

Any1 has problems with the recent updates of the Beautiful Widget? Is nice that we now have options to switch the weather icon to the center, but ALL the words like temp, location, etc., are way way too high and they are stacked up together. I even tried reboot, uninstalled and reinstalled, still the same. Never had this issue from the previous updates.

Any1 figured out why?

are you using 5 rows on your home screen? that causes funky displays


I've tried every different possible ways, like different rows vs. columns , and still the same. I wish there's a solution to this, I guess I'm sticking with the older version for now.

Sometimes it's the font that you are using...I've found that a lot when I was messing around with the font...

Ever since I switched to the Splamdroid_Stealth skin, the clock gets stuck and the time doesn't update. Has anyone else experienced this?

how do you change the toggle skins since the latest update? there used to be a settings options for toggle skins. i must be missing something simple.

I was hoping someone could make the dirty paper style weather skins in a blue set. Looking for a dark blue, maybe like an indigo blue. Can someone please do a set? Thank you.

I like this app!!!! Is there anyway to put the clock percentage like with fancy widget? I took it for granted I would get the battery indicator with the app.

As most of you might have noticed, there is a new kind of widget (SuperClock) in Beautiful Widgets 3.3. To achieve this, we had to rewrite the skin system to create something that is strechable, so we did something similar to what Android use with a 9-patch/15-patch system. This allow very high quality rendering and can be used at multiple size.

You can now create widgets for the new SuperClock using the new Skin Development Kit:

What super clock skin is that? The default seems to have the text and background colors reveres(white text on grey). Looks great.

open BW and then select the "menu" button and select either "clock skins" or "weather skins". They should be in the list

Would it be possible for someone to post the guides from the dev kit in .png format? I don't use photoshop and I can't find anything else that will open the files, thanks....

When you make your own skins, do they need to be compiled like normal .9 images?
