"Official"? Bionic battery life thread

Bought 2 at Costco on Saturday.

1st day messed with the new phones, settings, camera, adding accounts, and texting. We were on 4g the whole time. Batteries lasted 24 hours.

My husband left his on 4g. Normal texting here and there and surfing the web / Facebook here and there. Talked for 1 hour - 1.5 hours on it as well. The phone has been on for 1 day and 10 hours and still at 30 %. Only setting changed was turn wifi off. It also refreshes email every 15 minutes.

On my phone, Since i'm not doing any hardcore surfing etc, I put it on 3g. I switch it to 4g if I will be on the web / application long. I set the screen brightness a little lower than what the automatic did , email refresh every 15 minutes, disabled background data, turned wifi and bluetooth off, and took the setting to vibrate when touching the screen off. I got 1 day and 20 hours before It got down to 5% and I had to charge it.

Both are set on Nightime saver.

We are also both using the standard battery, haven't used the extra standard battery yet. Every here and there we will run the task manager and advanced task killer to kill running apps. So far battery life is great on them !

Just got 18 hours to shutoff. Light browsing, some Facebook, a few e-mails, a few speed tests, and about 90 minutes of phone calls. (Standard battery, Launcher Pro +)

My experience so far with the battery on my Bionic has been phenomenal. Yesterday under the battery stats screen I had 16hours 34mins on the battery with about 5.5 hours with the screen on and I was down to 40%. This was with 4G and auto brightness. I surfed the web, played some games, about an hour of phone calls, tons of texts, 45mins of navigation and some.streaming of Pandora. I am very impressed so far. The first 3 days I.had the bionic I did full discharges and recharges of the battery. I bought the extended battery but at this point I don't know if ill need it.

The phone is making a mistake reading the in time. There's no way with that much use to get such elongated battery life. My girlfriends atrix does the same thing all the time, makes mistakes reading battery and battery information.

Either Words with friends is just a battery hog or something is wrong w my battery.

I did two full drain/fill charges and I played WWF and browsed some sites and I have 80% battery after 25 mins of usage.

I have 4g on. Brightness set to minimum, and data and bluetooth turned off.

Getting some pretty impressive stats today thus far. Today is my early day, so I turned on the phone at about 5:15 this morning, so I'm now at about 12 hours and 15 minutes with light to moderate usage. Battery saver setting. My charge is around 80% or so.

I'm on CDMA only (no 4G in my area), with my screen brightness at about a quarter (which, for the record, is still plenty bright). I noticed some people are shutting off their background data, what exactly does that do?

My battery life seems terrible. I have to charge it at least twice a day and when it dies it won't turn on until the charge reaches at least 15% which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Then if it says the battery is getting low and I plug it in, it will still die if the screen is just on and will once again take 15 to 20 minutes to be able to turn back on. On a side note I"ve had 3 or 4 freezes and I have to reinstall easy tether everytime I want to use it and there are a few apps that keep saying are not installed on this device even though they are. This many glitches on this phone after such a wait no thanks... this phone is going back and I'll be waiting for either the prime or vigor.

I'm using about the same setting, except I don't know what you mean by battery saver (data saver maybe) ? Anyhow I'm nowhere near 80% more like 40 % here. but Ive been using on and off all day...It's just very difficult to know what exactly MODERATE use really is....

I must be one of the lucky ones. I purchased an entended battery on Monday afternoon, ran it until the battery died, pulled battery and held power button for 15 or so seconds, put the battery back in and let it charged overnight. I took it off the charger Tuesday at 7am and it just died an hour ago. So I got roughly 1 Day, and 7+ hours. I would say I had moderate usage. 40 min of talk time, 3 or 4 hours of display time playing trailers, checking txt, etc..., streamed roughly an hour of netfix, some light web browsing, on 4G all the time, disabled auto for display and set it to about half for brightness.
