"Official"? Bionic battery life thread

The longer I go, the longer I'm impressed with teh battery life. I thought it was iffy at first, but lately I've been not putting it on the dock all day at work, and going 6+ hours of moderate/heavy usage (screen on a majority of the time) without a problem. My d1 could NEVER do that. If i played on it for an hour it'd be dead. So I'm super happy. I don't have any issues at all with the battery. Plus google maps stopped showing up for some reason. I'm glad.

For me it's been ok but not great. I have turned it on only CDMA because I am not in an LTE area. For light usage I am at 40% after 8 hours. I dont know what it is exactly but like others say I am getting killed by Cell Standby(40%) and Phone Idle (34%). Why is the cell radio killing so much of the battery???? Display is at 9% but has only been on for 1hr and 20 min.

Try to start posting how long your screen is on. I got 8 hours with only 1 hour screen on not too impressed. Been messing around with it a lot in class though.

2nd day with extended battery and after 16.5 hours off charger I'm at 35% with 2.5 hours of screen on. On 4G all day but 2.5 hours of wifi. Also I wasn't messing around on my phone as much today.

currently draining my extended battery.. had to have it on the car charger while I was running around this evening and now I want it to die... running repeated quadrant benchmarks to try to kill it. LOL

I was thinking of buying the extended battery but it was going to make mt cell a little bit bigger! Do you guys recommend the extended battery?

I do... lasts so much longer and doesn't make the phone that much bigger or heavier

I'm noticing a weird trend with my battery life.
There is a bug where once connected/disconnected from an HDMI cable or dock, the screen loses it's timeout feature. It dims but does not time out. You have to manually click the power button to turn the screen off. Sunday I forgot about this bug and the screen ended up staying on (dimmed) for many hours but my battery life seemed better than the previous day. I tried it again yesterday with similar results. Nothing else had changed.
I'm going to try a more scientific approach to this today and see how it goes.

I spent 10 minutes on the phone and about 20 minutes surfing with 4g and dropped 20%, I can get about 11 hours with moderate to low usage on the standard battery.

Two days in a row I've pulled it out of my pocket in the afternoon and it's gone from 60% > 15% and it's scorching hot, I've got no idea what it's doing but it's not right.

I set mine to turn off data after two minutes of inactivity, seems to do wonders. Anyone know if any 3g/4g toggle widgets?

My phone seems pretty hot at times too. But I also have it in the Otterbox which makes it like carrying a small lap top around in your pocket. My battery life has not gotten any better.down to 75% after 2.5 hours of minimal use. meaning checked emails. did a few missions on world at war. checked 1 website and thats it. oh downloaded 1 small app.

Go to settings > applications > running services and look for applications like Facebook and Skype that are running. These are running on startup and do not stop even though you have exited them you you have to press their icon and kill them manually.

Both Facebook and Skype use up a lot of LTE in the background and that drains your battery.
