Bionic is a machine to rule all machines, and I use it that way. I have an Exchange account, 2 gmail accounts and 1 yahoo account all on automatic push sync. I also have Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn on automatic sync. My 4G is always on, and it is blazing. Only time I switch to WiFi is to do home/work networking stuff like retrieving files or printing, and that's rare. I am constantly on the browser looking up things, and sometimes during lunch or breaks, I would stream Netflix movies or play games. Oh and, I also stream music through Bluetooth to my car audio system when I'm driving . . . boy does that ever drain the battery ... especially when I'm running GPS navigation and Bluetooth audio at the same time! I guess some would say I'm not using the battery efficiently. Well, I would say I'm using the phone to it's full potential!
To me, one of the biggest selling points of Motorola Droids over iPhones was the swappable battery. I had extra batteries for my older Droid and I got extra batteries for the Bionic too. And at $25 each, the extended batteries are a great bargain right now. I have 2 battery docks - 1 at work and 1 at home, and 3 extended batteries - 1 in each charger at all times and 1 in the phone. This way, I don't worry about low battery. When it dies, I just swap it with the charged one. You can't do that with an iphone! I hate trying to use my phone while it plugged in to the wall to be charged. It diminishes the mobility of a mobile phone!
With my heavy use, the extended batteries are lasting me about 6 to 8 hours (the standard batteries were giving me 3 to 4 hours). On the battery dock, the standard batteries took about 3 hours to charge. The extended batteries are taking about 4 & 1/2 hours to charge. It is true there is no cover for bulkier Bionic with the extended battery. At least I haven't found one yet. But, I'm sure they will make them soon or later.
