so the sd card the phone came with is a micro SD hc 8GB.. when i tried rooting it said there was no SD card inserted. so i put in my old 4GB micro sd and it worked fine. why is that?
You might try putting that 8g card in your computer and do an error scan. Could be a error on the card making it unreadable to the phone. As to the why, I have no idea either.
ok so i rooted with z4root. and i have clockworks, and followed TiBu up to step 2 where it says to hold X. It show an android and a loading bar. and then sometimes it will freeze with an exclamation point next to the android.
heres the TiBu link with the steps im using.. Project Elite

I am I just ordered one and it's out for delivery! My first droid phone. I had to wait for my sprint contract to end. I am so excited, should be here today
It came about an hour ago! I will be playing around with it tonight, I am so excited! Love it so far, love the R2 D2 stuff and the beeping. I am so glad they still had these in stock.
The easiest way to stop R2 is deleting the sound file...... or renaming it. Use root explorer or similar program to access /system/media and rename it to .bak or any other name. If you cant rename it, move it to your sd card to keep as a backup. If you dont feel comfortable deleting it...... You obviously have to be rooted to do this, and if you are having problems, make sure you have system mounted as r/w and not r/o.
