Official Team D1-MIUI-10.29-V6.X Release

very true Public, it just doesnt make sense to me that people are so negative. im having a great time testing this thing on my own and it looks like a lot of other people are as well.
yakitori does have a valid point, but theres no reason to belittle others that DO like this.

but on to actual problems other than bickering over stupid stuff..

in v5, there was an option for SMS reminders, i cant seem to find this option in v6. maybe im just overlooking it for some reason, but does anyone know if this is in fact an option for v6?

Rm not working for me either. I can back up but I cant install through it or restore. Get FC's. Im going to start from scratch and wipe everything again

I would start from the beginning as well... make you wipe data and cache then just install the 6.2 download, you might redownload to insure no corruption happen.... also i believe after you install the rom they say not to use any type of app back up restore... just go through and redownload it through the market... to many people are to concerned with app restorer... anyways hopefully you can get it fixed... this version is really good

Well Rom Manager still force closes when i click to Manage/Restore back-ups..**Really not a big Deal IMO** But On a bigger Note i can not Sign Into my Yahoo account using the "Stock Email App"..Anyone else know how to fix this

yakitori is often negative, but he gets his point across. But hey, he's got Travis Bickle's picture as his signature so I don't expect hearts and flowers from the guy. He also tends to be equally as helpful as he can be negative. If you read between between the lines, he's usually on point.

I don't know what the big deal is.

I have never been a "rom flasher" but I came from metickones frg22d and the transition to 6.1 following full wipe I had 0 issues.

If you don't understand what the deal is don't do it. Besides, you are complaining in a thread where no one has control over what the "real" developers are doing.

Just saying.

In the case of MIUI for the droid a speedy release preceeds a "bugfree" release. They have weekly updates. How can we possibly thoroughly test these roms when so many parties have the files before we do. Most of the files that give us problems are the translated ones. If you guys don't want to use the rom than don't. Don't use it when it is known to have bugs and then complain about the same bugs. MIUI is obviously an alpha rom. They're glorified nightly builds. We try and make them run as good as possible but we're basically porting the roms and not much more. These are not like normal roms where we spend all the time optimizing them for the best performance. The negativity needs to go. I know it's annoying to not have a working build but you guys got a working build within a day of the initial release. Keep in mind too that not everyone had the same problems as everyone else. We are using beta testers. No one's phone had the same problems as some people reported. The thread is here for bug reports not complaining. STOP TROLLING. You all know who I'm talking about. If you feel inclined to respond to me, you're probably a troll. That's all I'm gonna say about the matter.

I left the black keyboard out because it is way bigger than the stock android keyboard. If you guys really want it I will add it back in the next release if there is one.

I use "appbackup" free from Market and Ive had no issue restoring apps w/any rom including MIUI. I recommend to wipe(data, cache,Sd ext, boot..etc) thru Clockwork and istall a fresh d/l copy from OP and you should be ok Trick. If not, your Droid has got a serious case of hatorade for MIUI:(

Can y'all with the RM Force close issue try one more thing?

First, uninstall then re-install from market. (If you have ROM Manager premium you might try uninstalling/reinstalling the premium license as well)

Then go to Settings > Programs > Manage Applications, pull up ROM Manager, and clear data

This might fix the issue?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as best as I can tell, this issue is rooted in restoring the app through Titanium Backup. It's definitely not an issue with the ROM itself.

How could anyone get pissy about this experience...this is a blast.
Our boys are really pulling this together and it's already terrific. This is quite the effort going into this project...

Ozzie, someone asked you a specific question about your ROM Manager install and you seem to have completely ignored it. Can you please address it so we can put the "ROM Manager still FC's" complaints to bed?

Sorry...I missed it. I was on the front edge of this release when we couldn't sign in, etc. and ended up installing a couple times. I don't recall exactly how rm got installed this time...I did use appbrain for many of the apps though.
I will be happy to reinstall it again fresh and install rm through market as it would appear others have rm working fine. Mine only works sort of.
I've got to head out for a couple hours and will redo again when I get back...

I still cant get in to change my keyboard. Anytime I go to press on Lang/Keyboard settings it just FC's and no possible way for me to change it
