Official Team D1-MIUI-10.29-V6.X Release

I found a random little bug and I am not sure what is causing it. When I send a pic I took with my camera via the message app (native one) or Facebook, it sends the picture sideways. My gallery knows which way is up, but when i post/send the picture it is always sideways. Anyone else having this problem?

6.2
Slayer kernal 1.0GHz
No other mods.

It seems to be either a feature or bug that originated from the original MIUI team.

Hey guys,

In addition to not getting all of my contacts from Exchange synced (I only get approx 1/2), I can't figure out how to load a clock and weather widget. The market says that it downloads and is installed, but I have no idea where they go. I go to add a widget to the screen and I get options that include Analog Clock, GV large and small, audible, power, etc., but none of the new clocks. I have tried Cypha Flip Clock, Team Fortress 2 Clock, and Digital Clock with no luck.

I did change my kernel, and as somebody mentioned above, this might have caused a problem. Will I need to reflash the ROM to get the original kernel back?

Thanks,

Seth

I'm not trying to insult your intelligence because I make this same mistake all the time with MIUI. Are you sure you're sliding the widget menu all the way? I usually look at it for 2 minutes before I think of it. lol. I'm just not used to having to do that.

Is it safe to start themeing or should I wait a few more weeks I don't know how often the releases are going to be as I thought this was the comeing out of beta release

Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

It was in private beta but the whole rom is still in beta. It's really not beta though. They haven't even finished the UI or fixed seemingly minor bugs. I'd say it's still an alpha rom. I haven't read anything stating it would be out of beta at any specific or approximate date. As far as 6.X goes it's final unless there is a bug we can fix.

Then I'm stuck as to why, but does this happen with any of the stock live wallpapers, or just market installed ones? If only with a market installed one, it might just be a poorly written live wallpaper and such.

Could be, but I've been using it for at least 2 months and issues have only popped up in the last week with these recent builds. It happened from the outset with v5.1 and just started happening with v6.2 which I've been running since shortly after it was released. I've tried to troubleshoot and no matter what I do after every single reboot my wallpaper gets reset.

I hadn't tried any other wallpapers, so I'm trying now with one of the stock ones.

EDIT: I just tried one of the stock live wallpapers (Nexus), and it's the same deal. It resets to the default water droplet wallpaper upon reboot.

I know I'm the first to mention this but has anyone else experienced this? I might be one of the few people who uses a live wallpaper.

Well I made an interesting observation on this front.

If I upped the VM Heap size to 32 m, the live wallpaper would no longer reset itself to a static wallpaper. However, if I dropped it back down to the default 24 m, it would reset itself again.

Now what I don't understand is why for 2 days with the VM heap at 24 m, I did not experience this issue.

There's some issues with the build.prop that I did not address with 6.X, the vm heap size should be set at 32.

Ah. Well there is an app in the market called VM Heap Tool for anyone who wants to make this change themselves.

Awesome, thanks for sharing Public and thanks for providing support for people. You've been extremely helpful to a lot of people. I appreciate it.

I think I found the problem with installing slayer's kernels. If It works I will upload either a fix or an update to the rom depending on how many bugs I can fix.

So...the days events include vm heap tool (done) - thank you...and so now what's going on with the slahyer kernels? Do I need to switch?

Is this pertaining to apps hanging on the install?

That's what people are reporting

Mine has been hanging too...but I would say this is not unique to either this rom nor the slayher kernel.
If you want a tester, I'm around for maybe an hour...then gone for a couple and back for the evening...

Metick,

I would be more than willing to test. Shoot me a PM if you need a hand.

I'll be sending you guys a pm in a few minutes. Install it and the kernel the way you normally do. Just wipe/data and cache once. Don't format any partitions.
