Official Thread: Gingerbread Leak With Root! Get It Now!

I flashed .591. Still no Busybox. Tried from App and Droid Overclock. No beef. But something funny, Titanium says it installs it and works fine. I don't understand. Any help?

I am running .588 with Broodcomb 2.0. which one should I use to upgrade to .595? Odex/Deodex/stock? I appreciate it.

Did I just brick my droid X?

Hi.
I was runing .588 and wanted do upgrade to .595
When I tried to go into update mode by pressing home and power button it stopped to that triangle and did nothing else (pressing searh button did nothing).
So I rooted tho phone with GingerBreak-v1.20.apk and then installed Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap v1.0.0.3.apk . After running bootstrap that started the phone in recovery mode and thried to install update.zip that I copied into root of SDCARD. Update.zip is stock-595.zip copied earlyer today. When I tries to update it warned me about wiping stuf ... I saind go aheah, and then got an error about having 4 parameters instead of 3 and fail the update. Now the phone stops at the red logo and does nothing else.If I try to go in recovery with home+power button and then press searh it does like before stopping at the triangle and doing nothing else.

Any way I can revive the phone?

Thanks a lot.

If you're using gingerbread now once you arrive at the triangle screen press both up and down volume at the same time. That takes you to the menu. The hard search button is used in froyo.

Can someone please clarify? I'm running rooted .588 from the 3 part install for a couple days now. I've installed a couple apps but no themes. I want to upgrade to 595 rooted deodexed. Do I just bootstrap with D2, wipe data/ cache, and flash the rom? Probably back up first? Do I need to factory reset?

Thanks in advance

Reading this, I can go straight from the current version of FroYo
to any of these leaked Gingerbreads without doing a wipe?

I loaded the deodexed ROM on my stock (2.3.340) rooted phone and it went right into the "M" boot loop (I had wiped data and cache before install). I had to flash SBF back to stock.

How are people getting this to work? Should I try the full odexed or stock GB version?

So im stuck at the white "m" screen, bootlooping. I downloaded the deodexed version, put the zip directly onto my sd card on my phone, went into the d2 bootstrap recovery, then wiped data and cache, then i installed the zip and rebooted. Now i am in the bootlooping stage again. I have done this 5 times, SBFing, going back to froyo, and trying again. any help???

Which version specifically? I know i should probably look, but i have already tried another version, and it didn't work either. a link would help a lot.

I went from FroYo to 573 GB to 591 GB. These files all came from the Team Black Hat app.

Right now I am at 591 waiting to see if I will try APex 2.0 or wait for something else.

I've heard of a 588 three part, but I do not know what that is.
My system seems fine on 591 right now.

it would be nice if the OP could be updated with some more detailed instructions. i.e. go from froyo --> gingerbread version (??)--> gingerbread version from this thread.

That would be like, hell of sweet. Especially for the people trying to flash these roms from froyo and ending up in bootloops.

please :)

Find gb .588, install that via the update.zip method from the stock recovery, then install this release via DROID 2 bootstrap.
