woo hoo market works! I ended up wiping, reflashing 12.24 still had issue with market reboot then i loaded up the 12.24.1 and everything is great

THanks!

Here's one for you guys.....I had my framework-res.apk all screwed up after flashing a million different battery themes on it. So I decided to wipe the entire Droid and start over. I did the factory reset, I wiped cache. I went into partitions menu wiped boot, data, system, and cache. I also went into advanced and wiped Dalvik.

Rebooted into recovery and flashed 12.24, then 12.24.1. The Droid boots up and elements of my custom framework-res.apk are still there.

Those who use Swype, which is probably most of you, is Swype acting weird for you? I don't know if it's because of having it on this ROM or if it's just Swype in general but when I Swype, the trace just stays there even when I'm not Swyping. The keyboard works fine and functions correctly. It's just something I've noticed and I don't have the keep the full trace option selected. And when I'm typing it will start off capitalized but before I can type, it switches to lower case. Not just on the popup, but on everything. Not a big issue or anything but it happens every time I use the keyboard.

OK, back to wiping and starting over again without flashing the update. The 12.24.1 has done something to my battery life and 3G reception. In 30 minutes I watched the battery drop 20%.

No problems with battery life. And zero problems since I flashed the first time. Awesome rom man. Loving it. If your having problems wipe wipe wipe. Don't want to leave anything behind. Lol. Also use clockwork I have never had a problem with ANY rom I mean zero problems since I started triple wiping and using clockwork. I just don't see my phone being that special. Trust me wiping three times and everything you can wipe besides SD card helps. Besides what's it hurt an extra 2 min of your time...

Also reboot clockwork and do 1 more wipe and factory reset.

Alright....this is beyond weird. Maybe I need to contact the guys in China to figure this one out. For grins, I wiped, wiped, wiped, wiped, then wiped again. Same as before.....factory reset, then cache from the main screen. Moved into partitions menu and wiped data, cache, system, and boot. Then moved in and wiped Dalvik. All of this four or five times.

Go ahead and flash the generic 12.24 ROM only, and there are my custom icons in the notification bar again. No, I did not edit the 12.24 ROM from jamezelle to include them.

Oh, and for those of you who don't know, there is a more accurate fix for the timestamps. If you go to settings>themes>customize message theme>at the bottom it will say "Time:" and it will give a "Single" option and "Smart" option. Select single and save it and it will give you the proper timestamps.

The sort SMS by date option doesn't work that well.

u need to wipe system i think for that. go into clockworkmod rec and go to partitions and wipe system partition?

Yeah, I did all that like a bazillion times. Then I remembered I did edit the framework-res.apk form stock.

My bad. I need to go to bed. Being this tired, I am making mistakes now that I am paying for.

Thanks for the fix on the market crash.
. I'm having force close issues with the note to self function with voice search. I've wiped and flashed from 12.11 to 12.24 then flashed the 12.24.1. uninstalled search and voice search using titanium removed market cache. then rebooted. reinstalled both apps. with no luck.

also, just curious why 12.24 version wasn't on the d1 google code web site.

thank you
