Thanks for the response, I'm still kind of wet behind the ears for that boot into recovery in the welcome to android screen, not really certain how to do that. Could you help me out. Sorry to be a nag.

Power off the phone. Press and hold x, turn phone back on. You will be in recovery. Select install zip from SD card. Find 0.12.24.1 and select. Reboot when finished installing. You will be back to android screen
just wiped and updated from 12.3.2. I could have stayed on that for ever if I didn't get those random reboots. Had everything set up just the way I liked... time to do that with this one and if I get no re-boots, I man never switch again.

I must have screwed up. I did the update and I was stuck on the "M". Restoring Nandroid now. This is the first time in months that happened to me. I'm going to DL the file again. I used Dropbox to get it on the phone, like I always do. Very strange.
I had some weird bluetooth issues on 12.3.2. It would connect for one call, stay connected, but the call would never route to the bluetooth after the first call. I haven't tested it on 12.24.1 yet. I will keep the board posted.
The one that came with the 12.24 release. I did not change it out.
I should also mention it has greatly improved my reception, especially on 3G. There is something magical in the 12.24 kernel. Now watch, someone will come along and say it is the same kernel as always.
I tested the 3g on the way to work this morning. I streamed audio (with WunderRadio) all the way to work. It did not cut out in an area that has been giving me trouble for months. At this point I agree that the data reception is better than it was with 0.12.11! I will take a different path home and hope that the streaming radio stays with me all the way.dancedroid
until 12.18, i NEVER got a random reboot. with 12.18 and 12.24 im getting random reboots probably 4 times a day now (with AND without Jrizzill's mod). tried using stock kernel and Chevy and P3 and still gettin reboots. mostly when trying to unlock the phone or trying to look at a text.
i will have to agree though, my 3g is wayyyy better with this release. dont think ive seen it drop once yet
Stopping in to say thanks to Jamezelle and Metick for bringing this awesomeness to our D1. This is the best miui release in a few weeks, it just has the feel of a milestone release. I spent about an hour just going thru all the settings one by one. I seriously can't get over how much they've done to improve and customize the android/miui experience.
As far as bugs I can't say that I have any, still have never gotten the reboot issues of any sort. Going on 30 hrs of use and everything is working good for me. Although I can't say that my 3g is any better as much as I'd like to. Thanks to everyone who helped and continues to help bring MIUI to the droid.
