Old D1-MIUI-0.12.24.0

I just noticed that i cant save images from the sms app. It only allows to view them. Usually, long pressing on the pic gives you the option to attach to sdcard. How can i save pics that people send me?

When I long press it gives me the option of which app i want to use. If I pick the Miui Gallery and hit menu the only option is to "save" and it puts the image into an mms folder on your sd card.

I just have to say this is the best build I have seen yet. Great work guys.

That's the correct way:) One of the reasons the gallery was included.

I have 2 issues just trying to see if anyone could help...On my theme the themer put a 3rd party inverted fb app everytime i try to touch install my phone reboots and the app is never installed! Also i'm trying to run my fix permissions through rom manager and i keep getting an error message. Any suggestions??

btw i have updated to .1

hey im having problems with fixing permissions on rom manager as well, but i fixed it by clearing the data under rom manager and flashing clock work recovery 3x. IDK if that really fixed the problem but before that i also cleared the data under the super user APP. Hope it works for you too! cheers!

The one that came with the 12.24 release. I did not change it out.

I should also mention it has greatly improved my reception, especially on 3G. There is something magical in the 12.24 kernel. Now watch, someone will come along and say it is the same kernel as always. :)

funny that u mention the 3g cause i noticed the same thing....this release is awesome....

I tested the 3g on the way to work this morning. I streamed audio (with WunderRadio) all the way to work. It did not cut out in an area that has been giving me trouble for months. At this point I agree that the data reception is better than it was with 0.12.11! I will take a different path home and hope that the streaming radio stays with me all the way.dancedroid

On the way to work today I had my first spontaneous reboot with 0.12.24.1 I was streaming audio in my car in an attempt to check the 3g reception in weak signal areas.

This is off topic but I'm limited on where I can ask this question considering the section is gone. Why is the Cyanogen section gone?

That's weird. I just noticed last night when I was looking for something. I can't remember what but I was looking at all the ROM's and noticed it was gone. Thanks!

Ah. Sweet dude. Thanks!

Well, I have to say as an MIUI noob, I just don't get it. I've heard people praising this ROM for awhile now. And this is the 2nd time I've attempted to use it. The first time I had tons of problems with FC's and nothing seeming to work right. This time it certainly appears to be a lot better in that respect. But I just can't get it set up like I want.

I understand that there isn't an "app drawer" like most launchers, so I went ahead and created some folders. But why is it that some apps' icons seem to multiply and others don't? Am I the only one with this issue or is this something I'm doing wrong? For example, if I want to move one of my apps into a folder, it will go into the folder but also remain on the home screen. So now there's two of the same icon for this app in different places. If I try once again to move it into the folder, I now have two of the same icons inside the folder and one outside the folder. I spent an hour trying to clean this up and I've now given up. I downloaded a different launcher (Zeam) and now things seem to work fine, but it seems I've got no reason to use MIUI now that my launcher is the same as with any other ROM. What am I doing wrong?

you definitely wiped data and cache? or did you not? if you didnt, do that and then re-install MIUI. also, what are you backing up/restoring your apps with?

i havent had that problem with MIUI. and as for if you want an "app drawer" create a folder of your most used apps and drag it down to the dock. the dock can hold up to 6 icons so use it to your benefit.

I did indeed wipe data/cache before flashing. And I let the apps restore from the market (and used Titanium Backup to restore the data only on a few apps). The odd thing to me is that it was only some of my apps that did the "multiple icons" thing. But the only way I found to undo it was to uninstall the app. This became more of a headache than I wanted, so I think I'm giving up (again) on MIUI.

Love this ROM! New 12.24 does seem quite a bit more stable. I have only encountered one issue so far:

I use a couple streaming music apps: Sirius XM and DI.fm and they both do not seem to work on this latest ROM. I have wiped data and re-installed (both ROM and apps) and have tried multiple kernels. I remember having this issue with version 11.26 and then it seemed to be fixed in 12.11. Now it is back to not working. BTW, I should note that these apps stream just fine on WiFi, only hangs on 3G.

Anyone have any ideas?

I would love to have these working, although I will probably still stay with this ROM regardless.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't been following this recently, but is .0.12.24.0 newer than the .0.12.3.2 update I'm currently on? And can I just flash it over the one I'm currently on?
