Old D1-MIUI-0.12.24.0

Thank you so much just when i was gonna get upset about not getting anything for christmas :) ah the amazing feeling of open source software Breakin rules that werent meant to be. My only question is how do i get that purple monster theme on my droid again from 12.11? i loved that theme!

Can someone tell me the difference between MIUI-0.12.24.0 and MIUI-0.12.24.1? I'm downloading MIUI-0.12.24.0 from ROM Manager currently with the expectation of upgrading my current version MIUI-0.11.26.1 but want to know if I'm going to the correct version.

Thanks

The one that came with the 12.24 release. I did not change it out.

I should also mention it has greatly improved my reception, especially on 3G. There is something magical in the 12.24 kernel. Now watch, someone will come along and say it is the same kernel as always. :)

funny that u mention the 3g cause i noticed the same thing....this release is awesome....

I tested the 3g on the way to work this morning. I streamed audio (with WunderRadio) all the way to work. It did not cut out in an area that has been giving me trouble for months. At this point I agree that the data reception is better than it was with 0.12.11! I will take a different path home and hope that the streaming radio stays with me all the way.dancedroid

Nice. So Its not a bug then because Im at work and have 3 bars and drops to 2 sometimes. No big deal at all. I just thought it was a bug showing full bars all the time. Loving this ROM. Its been 3-4 days with no issues yet.

So the only issue I have is getting the Calendar to work. when I try to poen it, it says: "The application Calendar(process com.android.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"

Here is the strange thing. If I extract the calendar.apk and re-install, it will work for about an hour before I get that error again. Any suggestions?

I flashed 12.24.1 over the 12.24.0 without wipe. I still do not see the protected apps (Slingplayer). TiBu works-around this though.

Yahoo mail's SMTP still a no go. I know Yahoo is now a PITA but I've had it since the mid nineties and hard to change. I actually have 4 accounts with them. The paid ones on POP3 accounts related to my website/yahoo hosting works fine. It's the web based FREE accounts that do not.

There are a lot of people that use Yahoo mail, hence all the posts and workarounds made about this issue when the D1 came out. Then Motorola and yahoo somehow fixed the problem (I think the fix was with the 2.01 OTA Android Update but not sure).

I have tried almost all the ROMs on this board (ROM junkie) and none of them have this issue. They maybe using parts of the original software shipped with D1 that had this issue but I'm puzzled. TiBu does not fix this either, still no smtp outgoing mail.

Anyone else having blutooth issues? I tried Chevy 1.1 ulv and LFY 1200 slv, still can't connect with my Jawbone.

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums App

No jawbone trouble here. Try just turning jawbone on and letting phone find it usually works better for me that way. If it doesn't find it at first toggle the bluetooth off then back on should see it.

I know this is a dumb question and rather simple compared to the other issues....
How do you get to the "App" drawer on this launcher??

..

Can't you just use the Yahoo app from the market? That's what I use and it works flawlessly.

You don't. If you like that feature, you will need to install another launcher.

You'll find this thread to be beneficial, I sure did: D1-MIUI User Guide. It's a great quick read on this ROM as it is quite different from everything else.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the user guide does say you can create your own app drawer by making a folder and dropping the apps you want in it. Not sure that this will help. You can then drop that apps folder to the bottom bar.

I love this rom only thing I miss is the default news and weather widget in other roms, anyone know how to get this back on miui?

What happened to the "Droid" ringtone?

Is there an "add blocker" in this ROM?
