Older Official D1-MIUI-0.12.11.0

Haha damnitttt...I just used the miui-dev app and as soon as I exited, ALLLLLLLL of my mms conversations in mms app were completely gone :( I'm kinda upset cuz there were some sexy picturesque in there if you know what I mean! ;) hahahaha

That looks a little too complicated for this guy. On a side note, I appreciate all the knowledge you spread on here - you've taught me quite a bit...

I'm going to try out this ModInstallLocation quick and see what I think.

Left field - just took my screen protector off and I'm a nervous wreck. I know the gorilla glass is a beast, but I just know I'm going to nick it up somehow... However, boy does my phone feel smooth without it :)
11 months without a screen protector and not a scratch. I love Gorilla Glass!!!

Dont kno if this is already covered..but if i want the new market,do i use root explorer system/app/màrket updater‹delete?..reboot,
then install new market apk?

Do not delete or over ride market updater. The one you want to replace is Vending.apk. Use root explorer paste in the app rename it and set permissions.

Done :)

Hi, I just flashed this today and it's my first time using the miui. I'm really liking it, however i have just one question.

How do u add a quick shortcut to the screen, like a one click dial? I'm sure its easy and I'm probably just not seeing it, however I just cant figure it out.

Sorry if this has already been answered, I've tried searching to see if it has and couldn't find anything. Any help is much appreciated.

Either long press your home screen to bring up the editing mode or press menu>editing mode and then once in editing mode push the menu button and push add and then you'll get the familiar menus.

Is anyone using compcache with this? I did my normal routine that has worked with every other rom, and the last few miui releases, but no luck.

For starters, we don't have the source for the MIUI Mms.apk, which means we can't take a look at the java code which would be easier than the alternative which is to decompile it and try to read through all the smali files (instead of just one file of java code) and then edit/mod the smali files.

And therein lay the problem, we don't even know what part of the code is responsible for the bug, so it makes it ever so difficult and highly unlikely that all the genius you see floating around in these releases would find, fix and just hand it over to the masses to then wait for the bombardment of people complaining about other things that broke after the fix even though the fix has nothing to do with what's being reported as broken. Savvy?

So it's just easier to leave the fix to the original Dev's and then you all can proceed to bombard Jamezelle and M1 with complaints about other bugs in later releases, as usual.

I have read through 22 pages of posts in this thread to familiarize myself with this ROM some more and THIS is the best post yet. Why? Obviously the point that is being made BUT I totally just imagined this in Jack Sparrow's voice.

Anyhoo - To all of the genius being willingly shared in this thread...and ROM, themes, add-ons and such...many thanks. The devs don't get enough recognition for voluntarily putting their free time into this goodness (and not just the MIUI goodness) after working their normal jobs and (no doubt) putting relationships in jeopardy...so HUGE thanks.

hey guys, first let me just say I love this rom, such a breath of fresh air compared to the same old same old.
Just one tiny problem, the miui launcher seems pretty laggy when scrolling through homescreens. I have tried slayher, chevy and p3 kernels to know luck. Once again not a big deal but wandering if any of you guys have experienced it or have a fix to it.

I would like to say thanks to the chinese devs for making an awesome rom and to jamezelle and the rest of the team for putting a lot of time and effort into this rom so we droid users can be happy.:)

Exactly, like you said delete data cache under the market app.
I tried your recommendation and unforunately it didn't work. Just to be clear you meant go under the market app and delete data and cache, not the droid overclock app right?
Same here. I started using the Droid Overclock app recently and for some reason it doesn't appear in the market for me anymore after flashing 12.11 . I reinstalled it from titanium backup, so at least I still have it. Didn't notice any others missing so far.

Try going into manage apps and then erase the data, cache, and restart your phone. That should do the trick.
