Older Official D1-MIUI-0.12.11.0

Is anyone still having issues where texts are showing up with the wrong time? I had this issues to previous versions of this ROM, thought it'd be fixed by now. Or... maybe its just me! :icon_eek:

just flashed. same problems as before with the addition of the gallery slow down we saw on earlier builds. also, this time not even my google settings (wifi passwords for example) didn't sync. so now.. i gotta.. uhajsdl;fadjksf;lakjsflasdf. whatever. good build.

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but the way I fixed the slowness of the gallery in the last release was by redownloading the 3dgallery apk, renaming the current one to .bak, moving the newly downloaded version there, fixed permissions, and then rebooted. This fixed the gallery speed, but I couldn't change lockscreen wallpaper, so I reflashed 12.2 and everything was gravy.

That being said, perhaps you can do the same thing but instead of flashing 12.2, you'd flash 12.11 without wiping. I'm gonna test it out here shortly.

Might seem crazy to you but thats my personal preference, I don't even use the stock launcher with miui. And if a person cant have it the way they want it they will install something else that does. Some people wont even use a rom no matter how good it is unless the theme they want works with it.

So is the color of the music app changed? Or did you not install yet? I use the lockscreen music player ALOT and don't care for purple.

OMG... *roll eyes* just use adb and delete miui music. And use your preferred music apk.

Hmm, your a lot of help, sir. Instead of posting smartass replies how about some input. I LIKE THE MIUI MUSIC PLAYER I DON'T LIKE PURPLE. If you cant answer my question DON'T post. Im not asking for a replacement player, I want to know if the color has changed or not. If you cant answer the question without being a dick about it dont reply at all.


AND like the above user said, he can say what he wants without you criticizing it. Hes speaking from a average users stand point. If the rom is that buggy why release it, I'm not saying they didnt work hard on it but the guy can have his opinion.

Why not just swap out the music app with the older version that is the way you like it? I would try with root explorer. Swap out the apks

Speaking of music apps, is there a way to reinstall the factory music app? I listen to audio book while I'm driving and the Miui app doesn't work in landscape, which is the way I have my phone in the cradle.

Try musicmod from the market. It is basically stock. It works in landscape and is actually pretty awesome.

Loving the ROM - Thanks for building and sharing with us! I understand there are issues but there are issues with most builds. I am just extremely grateful that there is still plenty of life left in this OG Droid 1 !!

was up a little late last night so, go easy on me guys.....is it just me or is the numbering scheme for the latest D1-MIUI a little confusing....at a glance this D1-MIUI-0.12.11.0 looks to be a downgrade to D1-MIUI-0.12.3.2....just a thought...but my head is clearing now

Its the 11th today? Ut Oh. Their build numbers dont make any sense. But who cares about build numbers? If it changes that means its new!

ALSO, has the music app background changed??? I dont like the purple and refuse to install until its changed, or changeable.

In case you didn't know, every build of Miui that comes to us is based off of a Chinese version of Miui that is released every Friday. Last Friday was 12-11-2010, therefore since it is based of the official Chinese version of Miui that was released on that day, the build number is 0.12.11. You don't have to be an oracle to realize that the next version will be 0.12.17, and then 0.12.24. It all makes perfect sense when you are somewhat informed about the ROM you are using.

EDIT: Last friday was 12-10-2010, but the Chinese MIUI team broke with tradition and released this ROM on Saturday 12-11. We'll see if this pattern holds for future releases or not, which are generally released on Fridays.
