OTA Updates Possible Before The 11th?

Im about 30 minutes from Charlotte, still nothing. Come on Verizon I want my update. Like a kid at christmas waiting for my presant. Overall, do most of you that have gotten the update satisfied with it or not? Give us more details on what we can expect. Im impatient!

I received my update this morning and my wife got hers last night. No issues so far, seems to be running smoothly.

Does Google Maps work?

How do I know if I received the update?
This morning it took forever for my phone to "come up".
Then I received a text msg telling me to go to my Gmail account, click on menu and refresh.
Is that the update?

I got the update this morning. A notification popped up asking if I wanted to install it now or later and of course I hit install it now.

BTW I'm in North, MS

How do I unsubscribe for a forum?? I get about 10 thousand emails a day from this thread pushed to my droid haha...I can't have it updating every 5 seconds!!

Go to your User CP, the first panel will have a list of all of your subscribed threads. You can unsubscribe to each one individually. And in your preferences (I think it is) set your default subscriptions to the threads you post in.

I just talked to a Verizon rep and he said (again this is a rep we are talking about) that there is no schedual and that the updates are being pushed as a network load basis. He said its scripted to push updates when the bandwith is available. I'm not explaining this well but the way I took it is that as the bandwith goes down then the script pushes the update to that location. He said that all updates will be done by the 11th regardless of bandwith.

I'm hoping the Facebook update is slick, as I've said before, the only thing I miss about my Storm is the Facebook App. It was just all around better then the FB for the Droid, otherwise, I love it.

There's a facebook update with the OTA update? That would be nice.

I'm near Virginia Tech
and I don't use my phone much and I was able to update
it's by random also,
I received this phone about couple days ago...

this is my second droid because the first one (proximity sensor and camera) was acting funny
