Post Your Weather Pictures

We also have quite a bit of humidity up here in eastern NC. I like those 45-50 degree mornins when its comfortable enough to stay out side but durin the summer the 95-100 degree days with high heat indexs can take toll on you tho. No sweat can evaporate to cool you when there is so much moisture in the air.

Some severe stuff headed to East Texas right now should be here around 4 in the morning...we got hit last week by a VERY fast storm that did some damage. Hopefully this one will be uneventful.

Hope everyone is fairing ok with the storm coming through Alabama. And heads up Georgia they are headed your way

Wow that's really scary...reminds me of that movie where they chase down tornadoes in that truck towing that device that has all those silver balls flying out of it....can't remember the name of the movie but I'm glad the worst we get in connecticut is a big blizzard and me and my Expedition love snow (lol).and I hope the folks affected by that system are ok!

You talkin about the movie Twister? when they are trying to release dorthy into the tornado? Thats a pretty good movie but i hope this system wont push out too many tornadoes tho. Wouldnt mind being a storm chaser for the research and the love of storms. I am also a gearhead so working on a car to storm chase in would be fun too.

Yeah that was it....twister...chasing storms really looked like fun in the movie, but I've never known anybody who didit for real...sounds like fun if you really know what youre doing..god luck if you ever try it!

Ill prolly never try it because it would require a lot of money to chase storms and fix your car all the time, hotels, and food. Dont know any personally either tho. Nice dream tho haha

The first picture is from when I first walked up on this debris in my back yard. The second picture is one when I brought it pieces inside to get a picture of what is actually was. Turns out it is paneling that goes on a interior wall.

The channel five news (WRAL News) here in eastern nc was tracking a tornado coming through wilson headed towards Elm City and finally moving near Rocky Mount. The best the family and I can figure is the tornado picked it up from a destroyed house/trailor and carried it inside the tornado/storm then dropped it down in our yard.

These storms came through and almost every storm cell had the signature hook in it indicating rotation on radar. Wilson, NC and Sanford, NC had a bit more damage with tornados moving through each city while flipping cars and leveling a few houses.

Its amazing how strong the forces of nature are.

Also here is a pic of some quarter size hail that fell with the same storms

:icon_ banana: Looks like you need to build a Dorothy trailer and go hunting (lol). Just be careful! :icon_ banana:

Are there more tornadoes lately or am I just paying more attention because of this thread. I'm a weather junkie anyway. Just not when people are dying from these cells.
