@jwalz: Wow I bet that one foot of slush froze and kept that snow around for a while. Looks like the little one enjoyed his time in it. This winter was definitely harsh for the northeast. Ya'll got one storm after another.[/QUOTE]

Oh man this winter was intense for sure .... the snow fort we made was 10 foot tall when done in a horseshoe shape...there was 6 inches of pure ice on my driveway that didn't melt until the season was over ..I actually took a sledge hammer n broke it up so we had clear path to the vehicles. It was by far the coldest winter that I can remember. Didn't go above freezing in over a month then a day or two of 35 degree weather then back down to the teens and single digits

@red: everything on the coast of Africa has been quiet so far this season. Had one storm in the Pacific which was this seasons first named storm but hopefully the Atlantic basin will stay quiet for a while.

@jwalz: Can't imagine a month below freezing. We get maybe a week below freezing but thats about the coldest we have here. We would never be able to make a snow fort like ya'll did this past winter here.

Looks as if there are some severe storms off the coast near Wilmington, NC. Also still have severe weather firing near northwest NE and extreme northeast MO. Got some storms still hangin on in southern MS and extreme western LA

Heads up to the southern half of GA and the western half of KY and most of FL. Severe storms are forming and lining up. Also looks like the potential for flash flooding in the Northeast.

Up north? I saw a tornado warning for extreme north IN the other day. First I've seen up there in quite a while

O yea I bet y'all did get hammered with that system. The same system was suppose to bring us rain here in NC but all the energy dove south and the system went through SC & GA. It was rough looking system even at the beginning. Hope y'all didn't receive too much damage. Its an active year so far for thunderstoms from the midwest to the east coast tho

Wow haven't been able to look at the weather today much but got a bad low pressure system spinning across the midwest with quite a few reports of tornadoes. Hope everyone is fairing ok with all this weather. How is it affecting everyone out there?

@Ace: How is TN goin? Looks like the same low pressure system might effect y'all on Wednesday. Heads up.

@Princess: How are the islands fairing out there in the midst of that vast ocean?

@CJ: How is the bayou holdin up down there?

We're doing pretty good. Its been Hot. No rain since, I dont know when. Most of the lawns around are brown, not green. But we have a 50% chance of showers today and more rain expected.

Depending on where you live around here, the question of,"How's the mosquitos a your house?" always comes up. Well since we havent had any rain, I havent seen many mosquitos or gnats. So thats a good thing about no rain.

Looks like some bad weather heading your way 252chevyboyz:

@CJ: For the most the lawns here are near about all dead except for the ones of us who obsess with our yard and water it everyday haha. Luckily ours is still living. We live about .2 miles from the Tar River here and the city's lake is right up the street plus a little fish pond doesnt help the mosquito population any. Your right with it being so dry they havent been as bad this year. Thanks for the heads up also. Got about .5" out of it this mornin which is a lot compared to what we have been gettin.
