Post Your Weather Pictures

Severe thunderstorms forecasted for the great lakes area. The early heat in the area is making for a unstable atmosphere. That leads to favorable conditions for severe weather.

Also this unusal heat in the south can be dangerous as many southern states will see heat indexs near 100 degrees if not over. Know your limits in the heat.

Heat index is already 97 and humidty is 56%. Hot muggy day to start off summer. How is it elsewhere y'all?

(Index just hit 100 at 2:15) can't imagine what actual summer is gonna feel like in late june and july

It's 87°, feels like 90°. The humidity is at 53%. That and the 11mph coastal breezes makes it nice.

What it is like here in NC straight from The Weather Channel (TWC).

Recent hot spots: Washington, NC (99° ) | Frederick, MD (102° ) | Erwin, NC (99° ) | Jasper, AL (99° ) | Smyrna, TN (99° ) | Franklin, VA (99° )"

@CJ: yea that sea breeze knocks the temp down quite considerably. Makes its bareable

Straight from The Weather Channel:

The National Hurricane Center has upgraded chance of development to 'medium' for low pressure off Florida coast. http://wxch.nl/ixcJBm

Also the tornado hunt team with TWC is heading into Colby, KS to start off their chasing day. Heads up to anyone in Colby, KS weather might become unstable fast

I have always studied this season and have come to accept that boarding up the house on the beach is just a part of it all haha. Maybe i can grab some decent pics this season and ill try to keep posting up weather details if i see anything interesting from TWC (their observations/forecasts are quite a bit more accurate than mine lol)

Tornado spotted near west springfield, mass that turned over a truck and we are under a tornado warning right now until 8pm tonight. I'm glued to the tv and hoping it's not going to go southwardtoward us. Will let you know later. Linda

Also a tornado just east of Sturbridge, MA. Looks as if the storm is tracking torward the towns of Woonsocket.

This is straight from the weather channel:
"TWCBreaking: Likely #tornado now just E of Sturbridge, MA and just N of Southbridge, MA. TAKE COVER in Oxford, Hodges. Will cross I-395 in 15 minutes!"

Yes thats the one I was thinking could have gone south to where I live. It actually did flip over some cars on I-84 near the mass-ct border and tore the roof off a school which I think was unoccupied at the time, thank goodness. This is very unusual weather for new england, but it seems as though weather is unusual everywhere lately. Be careful out there!!

@red: Glad it didnt hit you a couple days back

Looks as if we have had a quiet couple days other than a storm off the west cost and the extreme heat all the way up to Chicago. The Chicago has had some rough storms also. Hope everyone's takin the heat ok.

Anyone on the west coast want to share how the Pacific storm is effecting ya'll?

We just got some sever rain yesterday in south east Texas. uploadfromtaptalk1307445580759.webp
