Hi chevy, will be praying for you to be safe and dry ( even though you probably want to be outside enjoying all the action during the hurricane) and then you can return the favor and think good thoughts for us in connecticut on sunday afternoon. @ guidot- good luck up there in massachusetts for sun nite. Everyone at work has been worrying nonstop about Irene for the past week. Actually, since I'm a weather freak, I think it's exciting, but not when folks get hurt. This looks like a really big one this time for southern new england. I'll go out when the eye is over us and get some pix to send. Sorry I haven't been on the forum, but I couldn't remember my password after the last update of the app and I had to try 4 passwords before I lucked out and got the right one (lol). So everyone, stay safe, be careful and will keep in touch :-)

Looks like you might be catching the outer edge of it. Hope everything is going ok there.

Thank y'all for the care and I've been busy around here trying to call neighbors at the beach to check on everything. From what I know the house is missing quite a few shingles and the rail on the porch got broken from a tree rubbing against it. Just what the neighbors said. We got hundreds of pine cones down from the wind in the yard. Ill be out in a couple hours to see the damage. Ill snag some pics then. I also see a bunch of cars come back by our house after they cant get down our road

One strange thing is birds are sitting on out 2nd story window sills. Here is a pic of that:

Wow, thats crazy. I wouldn't be to comfortable with all those downed power lines. :( I wonder how long it takes them to fix those, hope people in your neighborhood has some generators. Not that thats exactly the highest priority if people are missing their houses. Not that this even compares with that hurricane over their but we had a monsoon today, and it got windy enough to rip down our Palo Verde Tree.

I still got to head back to the coast to unboard the house and clean up. People around here still have their houses but I have friends near the coast who got flooded and lost everything in their house and family friends who I got to help once I get my familes houses back up and running. I've been having to move the power lines off the trees just to be able to saw up the trees and get them away from the house. I took 4 years of electrical classes in highschool and 4 years of construction so the only good thing is I know how to move the power lines in a safe manner. Generators are still running throughout my neighborhood though. Its really a mess around here.

I hope everyone up north doesn't get the full force of this storm like we did. Prayers and thoughts are going out to y'all

Well the North is getting it now, just starting to get hit here in NH. Already lost power, lots or downed trees and limbs. A tree limb actually fell on the power lines out front of my house and caught fire, it looked amazing. No real major damage yet thankfully.

To be or not to be........................wait what was the question? This signature has been Tapatalk approved.
