[ROM] [R3]BLURR3D V2.0 PBX MOTO Kernel (10/22/2011) - RootzWiki

I got 2.0 TheoryRom After Doing the ForeverRoot cheesecake update. I believe I wipe system instead of just cache and dalvik. Any way I keep getting "adb could not be granted root access via local.prop method". Any other way to fix this?

Just found this http://rootzwiki.com/topic/7801-roo...ndows-get-root-after-893-ota-oops/#post189877 guess Ill give it a go

I down loaded and looked. Didn't see anything in there that would have locked you're phone up. And you did plenty to keep it from bricking. Droidtheory might and would know better than me. This is why I don't use roms off any sure but here.

I think if you just flash the rom without cheesecake you have the 893 base but not the radio and kernel. At that point if you had to flash back to stock to get OTA you could just usr Petes Root Unroot. Hopefully when it comes out the Devs will work there magic and figure out a way for us to flash it in a rom or something and keep root. I kinda think thats what cheesecake is but it might not be the final deal.

So if i have the base, do i have the better battery and better connection?

OK.....I have read through a lot of this thread but I am looking for fresh perspective from people that have had it in for a few days at least

I am rooted.....I have the 893 kernel going and cheescake (obviously)

is this ROM really worth the time to do.....does it really improve all that much?

Its not a 100% fix for the Data issues. Some of that is based off the LTE network (Well what is going to be the Network any how). There is no clear fix for the Hiccups in DATA loss at this time. Many of the fixes being seen on the net is basically Forcing the phone (Bionic) into a Hard search for Signal (Removing the Sims card) Then letting it reestablish a new connection based on the Changes of the Network itself. This is a way of forcing the Bionic to evolve as far as the Data Transfer is concerned. If the tower you are currently working off of has the new Software for the LTE network up and running when you do the Sims (Trick) you will probably find all your issues resolved. If you do it on an Old Infrastructure System then its not going to fix any thing.

Folks, I did the .893/Th3ory V2.0 thing as soon as it was all available. I was one of the first to report that my data issues were greatly improved. Living in the country I could only test it with the wifi to 3G hand off and it was working great and reconnecting to 3G really quickly if not instantaneously. Well, I went to town today and checked the 3G to 4G hand off and it was terrible. I had to do the Airplane mode thing twice before I got 3G back!! I was so disappointed. And then tonight I did a nandroid backup and after rebooting I went to Root Explorer to rename it so I would know exactly what it represented. I was in the process of typing the name and adding that it was unthrottled and that's when it hit me. The only difference from when the data hand off was working to when it wasn't working was UNTHROTTLED. I had run the script. I immediately went to the script and ran the restore and rebooted. And by the way, that reboot took forever. I really thought I was caught in a loop. But after it rebooted, the immediate hand off from wifi to 3G was back!!! I know this only one data point, but it working right now for me (again!!)!!

I've been running it for 2 days now. I really like it better than stock. The blacked out look is much better in my opinion. It's snappier, and I have not had any issues at all with bugs. Battery life seems about the same as I was getting on .886 stock rooted.

There is mixed feelings about whether you get better bat or connnection I think you said that Wiz. I just think Ill wait for OTA though Id love to try it. lol

OP has been updated with the CREAM TH3ORY PAK (Full Ice Scream Sandwich UI). Read the Install instructions, MUST be on 2.0, Battery mods will be available tomorrow. :)

Enjoy.

Just tried the link for cr3am. It didn't work. It said no such file on the server. By the way fantastic work. This is a great rom.

I had the same issue in my Bionic, so I used my laptop. I tried the link a couple of times but it downloaded, so don't give up. Anyhow I'm running the Cream theme now and I'm definitely liking.... great work Th3ory, and thanks.
