I have to dig some more but it seems since moving to 5.5 my Droid 3 has been taking a significant hit in the battery department with the Android OS chewing up 39% of the battery life.

Mine says 25%. Same as always. Mine seems to work different.... (E.G: Netflix Works, Camcorder Works, Wifi HotSpot Works without any hack or mod...)

Hd video codec stuff? Cant play some videos i have on my phone, if i record a video its like 1 frame / sec, no auto focus..or any focus from what i can tell, camera crashes when i tell it to take a picture....


I'll try reflashing stock and work my way back to ics?

Sigh. Reinstalled moto helper, didnt install some mdb interface driver. cant use RSD. Can't flash my phone. May as well have bricked it :\

xt862 failed, MTP USB device failed. any one have any bright ideas?

Ever since a few releases ago my phone comes up as an "xt862" instead of droid 3. when it came up as a droid 3, the drivers installed fine. windows doenst know wtf this thing is, and the moto driver software doesnt help.

How do i even turn the right usb mode on so i can even flash ?!?! i think i'v backed myself into a corner, i dont know how to get ICS off my phone

Did you make an Nandroid before doing anything? If so, Just swap to unsafe mode in safestrap then restore it. If you didn't make one... I don't know what you could do... I'll try to figure something out, Though.

Yeah so..i flashed back to ginger and re did everything from scratch, my camera is still all greyed out??? do i have to do something extra to get it to work?

I flashed this ROM, wiped both caches, but it stays in the boot video (which is cool). Would updating to 5.6.906 (Verizon OTA) have an effect on this?

SD 5.5, or wait?

So I'm rolling SD 5.3 on my Droid 3 and so far I really like it, with the exception of some of the known bugs; especially the inability to record video. I see that SD 5.5 has been posted, but all of the "Known Issues" from v5.3 are still present and the list of updates doesn't really include anything that important to me. Has anyone used 5.5 enough to know if it's worth upgrading from v5.3? Chevy, and idea when the video recording issue might be resolved?
