[ROM] [ROM-AOSP] Official CM10.1 (JB 4.2.2) [NIGHTLIES]

I had an odd problem I wanted to share in case anybody else has this. I'm on the 06/08 build.

Yesterday, everything was working fine. This morning I woke up (phone was charging all night) and I found:
Notifications sounds were not playing, actually, any "media" sounds were not playing.
Bluetooth would not turn on.

I tried the usual... reboot... power off... hard power off... nothing helped...

I then went into Safestrap and wiped cache and dalvik... and everything worked after that. So if you see any odd problems like that, try the cache/dalvik wipe.

Had this happen to me all the time on Rc3. Not sure about Bluetooth as I never use it. But it's very irritating none the less, not having that particular problem on RC5

i just had my phone start showing unknown in the imei and noticed my phone had no service and would not pull a signal thats when i noticed the imei was gone i am looking for any help as how i can recover it but i'm coming up empty handed right now... went back to stock and now i can't get 4g either so it's now a droid 4 that won't do 4g at all :( i need some advice on where to go now.

Welcome! A bit of a noob Myself so bear with me! But in the stock rom download "LTE on off for HTC thunderbolt" and choose LTE/CDMA/EvDo don't bother with other settings, have also been using this since they took our right to easily go from 4g to 3g in ICS and so on. Also make sure in phone settings that global is selected before changing setting in LTE on off. Not familiar with the new stock JB because it forced to go hunting for a new rom which is why I'm Here! :)

my stock rom now is jb i'm not on ics anymore to see if i could fix it... alos the imei number is unknown under the about phone settings.... i had had no problem till just this last week all of a sudden i didn't have service so i switched back to stock rom which at the time was ics and i had service so i then switched back to this rom and no service after letting it sit for 10 to 20 mins it still didn't have signal at all so i upgraded to the jb rom from verizon i found online and now with that stock rom on the phone only i don't even get 4g now... so idk what is messed up or where to look at trying to fix it. i will try the switching things on and off in the settings and see how that goes

Have the same issue with RC5. Wiping the cache seems to fix it. I use BT all day long so it is important to me. Great work guys.

If you're having the same issues on the stock ROM, it might be hardware failure.

on the stock rom the phone will work but for some reason 4g just isn't anymore at all... i get 3g and voice just fine so i'm not sure what is going on now.... i'm using eclipse and it shows i have signal and works but any of the nightly's i load it just won't do anything

Has anyone else noticed that Wi-Fi won't work on the 6-18 and 6-19 builds without using wifical.sh? Plus, it needs to be redone each time the phone is rebooted. Thoughts?

that has been an issue since the 06/14 load. i keep my 06/12 copy handy for when each day fails. maybe the 06/20 load will be better

Thanks for the tip about the 6/12 build, I am running it with great success. The only issues I am experiencing are ones I had on stock-- bad reception, wireless tether not working, and poor keyboard support on many apps, including Chrome. My old Droid 4, which was bricked by reinstalling an app after the jb update, has great reception. I wonder if my reception issue is a bad radio or jb related.

Thank you for your hard work, this is the first time the keyboard light has worked.

Hi. I have the Koodo galaxy sIIx I was wondering if it were possable to put the stable cersion of cm10 on it. Sofar everything I have seen online is for the tmobile t989. One fourm mentioned that the standard tmobile root worked for the koodo T989D but I dont know if that goes for all roms and customizations.

Very wrong forum. You know where you said you have a Koodo Galaxy SIIx? Well this forum is for Motorola Droid 4s. So your question is beyond irrelevant. May I suggest posting in whatever forum you saw that root method in?

Now, I'm on RC5, and this is crazy. Ringtones reset all the time. Like every boot. The battery meter is beyond useless. I've just been using the clock to gauge my battery, guessing how many minutes until it dies. My keyboard (swype) also resets to default on every boot, and now after the last random reboot, it's simply gone. My GPS stopped working out of the blue the other day, and no amount of hard resets can get it to lock on. This makes Navigation, Endomodo, etc useless.

I've installed everything correctly, and made sure everything was wiped. I know building/testing isn't a clean process by any means. I just don't understand how nobody has brought up all of these issues, the majority I've been having since before RC5. (I see that people have mentioned ringtones)

TL;DR
Release Candidate 5 is hardly a candidate for stable release.

Edit: Correctness

I think the 6/12 daily is more stable than RC5, but the resetting ringtones issue is driving me up the wall. Could this be an issue with safestrap? I have been running it reliable for toe days now and haven't had most of the issues you mentioned, but then again I don't use swype.

I did notice that last night the my Verizon app was having a lot of issues.

RC5 is working great. Have not experienced any of the issues mentioned lately. Working great in all ways but I have found a small glitch in BT. When I reboot the phone and . my headset is on, the BT on the phone stays off and I cannot turn it on in settings. If I turn the power off on the headset and then reboot the phone, it works fine. Small issue but I thought it was worth mentioning.
