[ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

everything is cool but now the mail app takes me to the homescreen

Are you on 2.3.15? Are you talking about the Blur Email app, or the AOSP one?

Can anyone else recreate this too?

lol wow thank you, I was about to rage and reinstall rom all over again :))

Heh, that happened to me too! Since now the ADW trashcan is up top, dropping an icon down there'll replace the app drawer :(

Running 1.2.1 I was getting a lot of hiccuping and slowdown. No idea why, it would happen when waking the phone up and this does not happen with other roms like tranquility or rubix. I'll wait till the themes come out and then give it another shot.

nvm fab i got user error like normal lol ty for your great work and help

Hey, actually, what was the solution? Someone else is having this issue too.

EDIT: nvm, I figured it out! You need to add an account first in My Accounts :D

Yea the pictures still arent showing up in the messaging app.

Hey Andy, I've thought a little more about this issue. Your pictures are synced from Facebook using Blur?

Since the Messaging app is AOSP, I believe it is looking to your Google account for pictures, which it isn't finding. So there are 2 solutions:

1. Use an app like syncmypix to get your Facebook pictures synced to your Google account.

2. Use the Blur SMS app instead. You can do this in terminal emulator:

su
messaging -mot

...and if I'm completely off base, let me know ;)

I see that overclocking is no longer enabled in this build. Has the script based functionality from v1 been completely removed, or is it just set to overclock -off by default?

It's completely removed. I did that because the module was not compatible with 2.2.1, however, I suppose I could put it back in to the 2.2 version...

Is that a feature a lot of you would be interested in, or are you guys all just using a 3rd party app anyways?

I'd like to see it kept in the release. It seems for me that the third party apps when used in conjuction with a memory management app end up getting killed resulting in the clock settings getting reset back to default.

I undervolt my phone for battery life and with the script it keeps those settings for me as long as the phone is on. Using the DX/D2 overclock app does not produce the same results for me.

Ok, it'll be a piece of cake to readd that feature. I'll just have it off by default.

Also, I purchased JRummy's OC app for 2.2.1, so I'm gonna kang some of his OC profiles hehehe :)

I've never Overclocked before and I installed the milestone app, the phone seems to work fine at 1300 MHz and 80 LV

I'm assuming that that is 1.3 GHz, I had it up to 1.4GHz to run a quadrant test which worked and then I bumped it up to 1.45 and it black screened and I had to battery pull.

Right now I'm running a 1.25 GHz with a 70 LV, but how can I know that it's not harmful to my phone?

Like everything is running fine but is there any free app to measure the internal temperature of the phone and what are the acceptable temps?

And how long should I run the overclock without any problems before I apply it from boot?

I've had the pictures sync correctly with the AOSP app while running rubiX, I honestly only have like 10 people in my Google account, the rest of my friends and #'s are just straight from facebook. I'll give this a try tho
