How can i prevent the inevitable OTA update that is going to be coming thru to my phone..... Im in LOVE with this ROM and have it exactly where i like it and i dont want to change~ Any ideas?

Ive renamed /etc/security/(Ota thingy to .bak)
And ive deleted the Updater.apk

Is the above^ all i need to do?

Loading any rom will prevent the OTA. From my understanding if even one bloat program is removed or altered the OTA will not install as it updates base files. If you are on Apex you are good to go.

Does anyone know if you can retrieve sent emails when you reply from the droid? I am using the blur email and the only emails in my sent folder are emails that I send using my computer.
On my droid x, I see a little envelope next to the email that shows I send it but I can't see the sent email anywhere.

Any input on this would be great thanks!

Does anyone elses DX preform a soft reboot at random and it does it quite a few times during the course of the day

I've reinstalled the rom 3 times already and have cleaned the data/cache 3 times before each install

Is anyone else having a problem like this

What carier is sending your mail. You need to down load ( ex) aol full site like it is on your computer then you can do whatever you can do on your computer

Never had a problem on Apex unless I overclocked too high

thanks for your help. my carrier is verizon. how come when you reply to emails on the droid, it doesnt go into the outbox or sent folder?

This looks really nice. It's the first rom on which my ringtone assignments work correctly. I installed this bad boy, ran d2g_romer on it and it works fairly well so far. Yes, I use a d2g.

One thing I can't figure out, though. Wifi connects, but I have to use pppoe to auth with my provider. I use wifi pppoe from market on other roms okay. On apex and vzw stock rom, it authenticates but doesn't pass traffic.

I'm guessing a non-pppoe wifi connect works fine. Is there something in vzw stock rom carried over to apex which might semi-break wifi?

2.0 beta is out already......but wireless tethering wont work on GB~ just my opinion ....but I would stay on 1.4.1

Ive been on GB since the leaks started and have been tethering the whole time with no issues. Am working on my second bill since doing so and looking at my account have not been charged a cent yet. I only tether to my tablet though.......

Hmm. I've heard mixed reviews. I'm just so happy with 1.4.1 and too lazy to switch to 2.0 and really theme it.lol
