[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

I haven't noticed any problems with either. The only time I did notice any sort of network problem in teh last few builds was this morning on nightly 45 while trying to play Word with Friends, though, all other data services worked on 3G. Eventually it came back but I'm assuming that was related to either Words with Friends servers or routing to Words with Friends servers (leaning towards the latter since I actually connected to WiFi to finish up my moves). Again, no problem with any of the other apps that use 3G or WiFi including browser. Heck, I downloaded build 45 yesterday (while on 43) directly to my phone in a car driving through the sticks and sparse coverage and that worked fine.

Have you wiped data/cache each time or just cache? If you've been wiping data and cache, have you tested stock SBF to see if you still have the same problems? If the problems persist on stock, I'd call them up and complain a lot. Unfortunately, the person on the other end will probably only be able to send you a replacement device standard ground, but if you complain enough since they replaced your phone with a bad one, you may be able to get overnight for free (better than waiting 3 days for a phone).

ALWAYS lol!! I always wipe everything, I even wipe the phone down! Lol Really, I haven't had it go completely out again, but drops my dls from market if I have more than a few running..I also notice really bad buffering, but that's been going on..Thinking about an sbf(monster file,"flashable".) And start fresh...Sometimes we really can't put our finger on it. I haven't watched any movies or anything, I know I must be getting throttled..I guess I will do all I can and if that doesn't fix it...Lookout verizon..I don't pay all this premium service to constantly stall..Thanks for your input! I'm gonna give this thing a few minutes. I haven't used any other apps either..so it can't be that..

Hmmmm I cant seem to figure out what Im doing wrong... You just slide across the top correct? Anyone else ever have this issue? I used to be on official 31, but now im on the unofficial 8/15 and doesnt work on either.

I dont have the newest nightly on my D2 but it is working for me. Make sure automatic brightness is not enabled and then go into CM Settings > Interface > Status Bar Tweaks and then check the sbar brightness box. If youve done this sorry for going through the steps, just making sure.

This is the part thats tricky. To actually get it to work do not lower the status bar pullodown, just do it on the notification bar while it is closed. To adjust hold your finger on one side almost like you are long pressing it and then slowly drag your finger to the other side. Its pretty touchy so it may take a time or 2 for it to work. Drag to the right for brighter and to the left for darker.

That was the one thing I didn't like about it.... the touchy nature of this tweak. I just use the brightness status bar power widget.

Same here. I use the pulldown power widget like its my job lol

Used to have like 3-4 widgets running to perform the tasks I now just do with it. One of my fav features of GB.

Thanks for the advice it works like a charm now! I diddnt realize how slow you had to go to get it to work nor did I realize you diddnt pull it all the way down. Kind of a stupid mistake.

No problem!

And not stupid. It really is touchy, I just already spent the time figuring it out. Now I can share the knowledge!

So I'm on the latest revs nightly and the battery life is 100% better...heavy usage and still at 50% my only problem now is my accounts aren't syncing, and yes everything is set to sync automatically. Its just not workin! Anyone else having this problem?

So if I'm on the official nightly and want to try revs, can I just install as usual (wipe cache, dalvik, install) or do I need to wipe data? I'm guessing i don't need to wipe data, but I thought id check. I keep hearing how much better battery life is and I just have to see how much people are exaggerating (if at all)

I installed Revs the same way i would install a CM7 nightly. I am getting really good battery life on the latest Revs build and have had no issues at all. I am going on close to 10 hours and still have 55% battery left and i used my phone quite a bit today.

I usually only wipe when there's a big changelog, but with this i wasn't sure cause I was unsure of what the difference between the two actually are.
