[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

I had the exact same problem the first time I installed the rom. I downloaded the latest nightly (again), sbf'd (again), re-rooted (again, (you probably get the point by now)), wiped data/cache and davlik, installed rom via CW, and wiped everything again. It's been working fantastically since. I hope that helps.

In recovery, I selected wipe data/factory reset, and I also selected wipe cache partition. I then went into the advanced menu at the bottom, and selected the wipe davlik cache option. I did this all after a fresh install of the newly downloaded rom, and it works fine now.

When I flashed the first one it worked fine. Then I Florida and flashed 13th update and my screen was all sideways except for when my keyboard was out, so I flashed back to the original one. Now, can someone please help me understand why this was so I can install the 7/2 nightly please. I wanna avoid the orientation problem. Thanks.

Fooey. I could have sworn that would have worked. Other then sbf'ing and doing the whole process over again, I don't know what else to do. Redflea was saying to format the system, yet I've never done that before.

Looks like your using the D2G....internally that's a different monster. Could be your problem.

Update: After the initial problems running build 13 from back around 6/24, today I sbf'ed then flashed to the new 7/2 build, then gapps. Everything's working great!
Keyboard is backlit again, soft keys too, notifications are all working (set up within their respective apps) and no more torch fc's.

This is tons faster than the oem verizon and best of all, no more crashing.
Great work on this rom everyone!
