[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

This is true and by no means do I want to sound like I'm putting all the hard work the devs have done down but you were right about the features issue.

Can anyone tell me what bugs are still popping up with this? Also, I am currently running a rooted FROYO with no ROM. Will all I need to do is do a wipe and install this. Thanks for the help. dancedroid

Bugs:

USB must be plugged/unplugged/plugged to work
alt-lock button doesn't work, but hitting alt twice works as alt-lock
built-in live wallpapers don't work, but market live wallpapers do

as far as I know, that about covers it.

For installing - since you are on Froyo, all you need to do is be rooted, install clockworkMod recovery via Droid 2 bootstrap, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache (also format system and wipe Dalvik cache are recommended, but not 100% required,) then flash the ROM.

Once you are on CM7, don't use Droid 2 Bootstrap anymore. To get to recovery press and hold power button, select reboot, then select reboot recovery.

I think I've covered just about everything :D

USB has been working perfectly fine for me.
Another bug I've noticed is that the lockscreen doesn't adjust to a landscape orientation if the phone is open.

Not a bug, works fine on all builds i've used.

Is my phone the only one that doesn't have automatic brightness working? Just updated to the latest build and still have the problem.

I didn't wipe going from nightly 2 to the latest. I'll try doing a clean wipe tonight and see how it goes. It could be my hardware, curious if anybody with an R2D2 had auto bright working.

On the inside the D2 and R2D2 are the same, so that shouldn't make a difference.
