[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

battery life has been all over the place for me. In the developer thread they have found an issue where the phone isn't going into deep sleep. I'm just going to wait it out for now. With moderate usage i can get 12 hours.

If you're looking for great battery life look at the apex rom. There were a couple bugs when I was using, but it has outstanding battery life.

Battery life is sketchy, but I'm willing to oversee it due to the awesome support this ROM has. On a side note, I can confirm 1% battery increments for the last build, build #10.

I have to agree with this. CM7 has so much support and will have continued support from the CM 7 network. It's hard to support a rom and donate for a toolbox (liberty) when the developer doesn't support the rom or even post in the the section for their rom (liberty, apex).

If a developer is willing to continually support the rom and work with us to solve problems then I have no issues supporting the developers.

Just an update to the signature issue - I have tried downloading nightly 10 directly from the release respiratory and loaded it to my SD card via USB cnnection to make sure that I wasn't having data corrupted via OTA & wi-fi downloads (using Verizon Wireless 3G) and I'm still getting the same issues.

I will try disabling the verification however and seeing if that helps. I did some Googling and it appears to be a issue on a few other phones with various CM versions so this could all be bad luck on my part.

Same problem I had. Easiest way to solve it is to go into rom manager, flash the clockwork recovery from there, then try installing the nightly via rom manager again.

With the recent Cyanogen Nightlies on the Droid 2 (flashed nightly via Rom Manager Premium) I've been experiencing issues with 10% increments in the battery vs. 1% ones despite resetting the battery cache.

I've also been experiencing invalid signature issues with Nightlies 8 onwards downloaded via Rom Manager -- however I'm going to try getting them direct from here until I hear back from those developers since I'm not sure if it's a CM issue.

Also with Launcher Pro, I've been getting quite a few force close errors when booting up. On a more positive note, where Skype kept crashing on boot in the stock rom, CM has been handling that flawlessly.

Overall however, I love the rom and I'm glad to have it finally on my Droid after months of waiting! dancedroid

Thanks very much for the tip. I didn't see it before my last post just now, so I'm going to try reflashing Recovery and then doing the install since it seems like disabling verification of ROM's is meant to be a last resort matter.

*EDIT* Just managed to install nightly 10 so it looks like the signature matter is due to Recovery rather than CM. I think it happened because I accidentally deleted the Update.zip file a couple days ago since I didn't know it was a permanent file.

I formatted my sd card and had the same issue.

Is the first page of the thread always updated with the newest version of the ROM? If not whats the newest stable build?

I work with patients with drug addictions in a medical detox facility. My stimulant patients are just like that, no REM sleep, but plenty of...speedy....they'll either get sleepy and nod out, or enter psychosis...let's all hope our CM7 D2s don't :p
