[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

With the latest nightly I've had issues with notifications. I had a voicemail and my phone rang and was vibrating non-stop. I haven't seen anything about this thus far, ill try a clean install tomorrow.

So I haved used about 90% of battery in just under 12hours. normal use: coupled of calls, pandora for the ride to and from work, a little facebook, check the forums. Running ay 1.2. Ghz with smartass govenor.

Is this about right? Am I getting good battery life? Average? Poor?

That's higher than I'd like...I want to go from 7AM when I come off the dock till about 8 or 9 PM w/at least 20 to 30% left. I have been screwing w/my phone so much since I loaded CM that I really have no good idea about how battery life is, other than it seems worse than on GB (Zombie). Given CM has no built in battery management like the Moto GB ROM, I think an app like Juice Defender is a good idea to get and use w/this ROM, BTW.

I think I solved my battery life issue. I was running the unofficial nightly from 6/28 and would drop 30% of the battery at least from it just sitting on my desk overnight. I was the 1% battery increments and was running the cyanbread theme.

I swapped to official build 6 and am using the regular system theme. Used my phone a moderate amount all day (off the charger at 10am, it's not 2:30 am) and I still have 30% left. I don't know if the 1% increments and that theme are linked, but I'm certainly getting better battery life now.

Only thing I ask is to get more governors and make the menu in the home screen 3x2 instead of 2x3.

Everything else is perfect!!

I'm on nightly build #9. I haven't had any problems other than having to charge twice, daily. I think an extended battery is in my future.

wma sound files

i have installed the latest nightly and still can not play my wma sound files can anyone give me some guidance?

With the recent Cyanogen Nightlies on the Droid 2 (flashed nightly via Rom Manager Premium) I've been experiencing issues with 10% increments in the battery vs. 1% ones despite resetting the battery cache.

I've also been experiencing invalid signature issues with Nightlies 8 onwards downloaded via Rom Manager -- however I'm going to try getting them direct from here until I hear back from those developers since I'm not sure if it's a CM issue.

Also with Launcher Pro, I've been getting quite a few force close errors when booting up. On a more positive note, where Skype kept crashing on boot in the stock rom, CM has been handling that flawlessly.

Overall however, I love the rom and I'm glad to have it finally on my Droid after months of waiting! dancedroid

1% battery hasn't made it to the nightlies yet (at least, as of last night)... but it looks like it will be soon!

1. Official nightlies have never had 1% increments until tonights nightly...the change just got approved.

2. Never seen any signature issues, but I've only loaded one official nightly, last nights. All others were from Rev's unofficial nightlies so I could get the 1% increments.

3. LPP force-closes on me every time I reboot - w/out fail. :( After that, it's fine. :)

I was having issues with invalid signature via clockwork recovery. I solved it by going into rom manager and re-installing clockwork recovery from there.

If I were to move from CM7 to another rom, would an SBF be neccessary?

I just can't seem to figure out why my battery life has been so sketchy. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, but by hour 15 with minimal to moderate usage, I'm down to 10-20%. I remember on liberty with heavy usage I could get around 20

I was less than impressed with battery life as well and had to switch back to Liberty. 30 minutes of angry birds on CM7 would eat about half my battery. With Liberty I seem to get much better battery life. (but it is still a lot buggier than CM7, IMO)
