[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

I agree with Havens1515 that one of my apps appeared to be causing the problem. That said I don't really know how to determine which one it might be or how to restore my apps aside from using TiB?

You can do a batch restore. It will give you the option to check off which apps to restore. Choose just the app, not data. Do a few at a time. Try it and if there are no issues, do a few more. When you find the issue, just freeze or uninstall that app. You don't have to restore everything. I'm a minimalist so I try to restore just the apps that I use.

I'm on launcher pro. It runs great! I have 0 issues with cm7 (besides battery drain). Thats why I felt so bad that you were having problems.

When you get CM7 back on it, don't restore your apps through Titanium Backup. This seems to be causing issues with everyone.

Also, look through your app list and make sure they are all verified working with GB. It sounds like it started after restoring your apps, which makes me think an app is the root cause. If there is anything that is known to have issues with GB, uninstall it after the sbf so they don't restore when you install CM7.

Oh crap I did! Shoot.. no problems but I did one at a time and no system apps...

Somehow, several apps have ended up on my SD card taking up space. Is it generally safe to just delete them from there using root explorer or similar?

It shouldn't be too big of a deal. most of the issues come when you restore the data. I restored my apps and data, but I ONLY restored data for the apps I really needed the data back for (my alarm app, notes app, things like that)

I did run into a few problems after restoring that data, but then I went back into recovery, cleared cache and dalvik cache, and all was good again.

Build 20. Calibrated the battery as usual, but added juice defender ultimate yesterday. This app sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but it seems to be having a noticeable effect on battery life with cm. I'm down to 91% after 2 hours, whereas yesterday was down to 67% in the same interval
If you can stand it, turning off the soft button backlights in cm settings offers some extra juice savings

Idopa, I have a question. Why do you restore only the app and not the data in TB? I'm asking this because I always restore everything. Is there a reason I shouldn't be dong this?

From what I understand (and that's not a lot), data from one rom to another sometimes doesn't play well. I think this pertains mainly to system Apps (which I don't restore anyway). Even so, to play it safe, unless I really need the data from a given app (angry birds etc..), I just restore the app. I don't mind having to enter my email address again or whatever I lost by not restoring data. That's just how I do it. I'm sure it's not absolutely necessary. Either is mounting system before installing a rom, but I do it anyway. To be honest, I jump around roms all the time and have not had to sbf once. Not one bootloop. 0 issues with cm7 so far. So, I just keep doing the same thing to keep my sanity
Hope this helps a little :)
