One thing I am asking with the new feature in RomMananger, is to please download and install the ROM via RomMananger and then rate and comment about the ROM, hopefully good..
After installing rom and gapps, I had to update Gmail, shopper, and Google sky. Were all of those in gapps or just gmail? That explains why Gmail fc after flashing. (I know, should wipe data too, but I'm coming from SD7)
Also, superuser needs to be updated, but wont install from market. I'll clear data and try again.
oc is easy get jrummys droid overclock or setcpu, as for autobrightness you could take framework out and use xultimate autobrightness patch then put it back in and reflash

Thanks, but I have setcpu and o/c'd with ChevyNo1's kernels before this rom. I tried CN1's kernel on build 4 and it broke wifi, so I'm hesitant, but will try again later.
I also had applied the brightness hack before and will do again, but I'll likely wait until I'm done flashing Tom's and themes.
lol.. err, flashing ROMs... That's an autocorrect worthy of submission.
I don't have auto-brightness setting, just the manual slider of old.
My phone has been running much warmer than normal. I had no idea how well Chevy's LV kernels were working at o/c and yet running lower voltage/temp than stock. It could also be the display working the battery harder than it's used to.
So I assume DC added an old version of Spare Parts to /system/app? I already had the latest from market, so there are 2 versions in my app drawer. I was looking through the settings on the newer version and saw it has a setting for brightness, which was on Manual for some reason. I changed it to Automatic and rebooted, yet the automatic option is still not there when viewing Brightness under Display settings. The Spare Parts setting persisted after the reboot, so it did keep.
No, it is not an old version of spare parts, this will take some explaining, but here it goes.. Spare Parts was originally and still is an AOSP provided app for developers, its in the source code, and when you compile from source you can add it and Dev tools to your build or remove them if you like, I kept them in, and those are the android ones. The one in the market is someone who took the android source, and changed the packing so it would upload and work on the market, he has made tweaks and what not from the original, that is why it is showing up twice.. In case you didn't already know Google prevents apps to use the package code 'com.android.blahblahblah' your app has to begin differently or it will not be published/uploaded to the Android market, so all someone did was change the packaging, so its 'com.blah.blah' so that is why you now have 2 different apps..
