[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

What partitions are you trying to set up? Rom Manager can do swap and apps2sd if that's what you need, otherwise the phone can format the whole card as one partition I believe.

Hey man really sorry to hear about what happened, hope you can get something figured out. I wish I could be of more help, idk if youve tried this but it is worth a shot. Memory Card Recovery Software to Recover Lost Photos - CardRecovery
you can always try to update the driver for the card via windows that may help it getting recognized or even roll back to a previous driver if there is one.

hope this helps

so has anyone experienced this problem yet? ... I got off the phone this evening only to find my homescreen flashing on and off...tried everything to stop it and finally pulled the battery. mind you I took a pic and shared it to facebook like 5 minutes prior, when the phone restarted I got an sd card damaged error, now I have a usless 4gig sd card that had quite a few pics from this past weekend with my daughters...now gone :(

dont know what to do...

I have not experience this. Although, if you have a card reader for your computer, you may be able to rescue the pics and reformat the sdcard and use it.

No luck as of yet, tried 3 different recovery programs so far. Computer won't recognize card in a card reader, the phone, or usb adapter readers. Blah! Just purchased an 8gig and need to find the guide I read a while back on partitioning! You can garauntee I set google+ to instant upload everything! I missed 10pics I took yesterday and several videos I'm pissed about :(

Anyone try formatting an sd card while on build 11? My new 8gig sd card says its blank and needs to be formatted, I go to format...then to format sd card....erase everything and then it just goes back to menu having done nothing....only way I can connect it to aa computer at the moment is through my droid. Thanks for any help!

Sorry to hear! If you can get the card to load, I've had a lot of success with Data Doctor Recovery Pen Drive (they support memory cards as well) and Smart Flash Recovery, though I've worked with mostly flash drive (& hdd) recovery obviously. I've sometimes had issues reading a drive and it was just due to either USB hubs or older USB ports. Good luck, I've lost a ton of priceless data myself and know it hurts, even individual photos.

Sorry, I just replied without reading earlier posts. This is just as good or better I'm sure as the software I've used. Good advice here.

Maybe the reason you can't read your older card to recover is due to your card reader not supporting SDHC? 8GB Card Not Recognized in Computer - xda-developers

Market wont install anything

I was trying to install DC11 from PE4.2 but when it boots up i can never get the market to respond when i hit install for an app i want. i tried clearing cache in market and market updater then reboot right after and nothing. could a market file be broke or something. I'm using RZ recovery to install

Under RZ recovery, I would try wiping everything 3x, than install DC11, Google apps, and any kernel you want, than reboot. Those are the steps I took, and I usually wipe 3x before trying any ROM. Just to play it safe. :)

Yep ive done that. I always do that to get the extra crap out. i also sometimes do them one by just in case (OCD :) ) . im trying to google some tips on getting market to work i and i came across something strange again. i cannot delete android_secure or unmount my sd card without force closing. my market worked on 4.2 but not when i reinstalled it. now the same thing is happening on DC11.

edit== it seems i can download apps from the market on my pc to phone but cannot do it on my phone. its attempts to install but it just hangs at 100%, what gives??

The other thing you can try is mounting your SD card from RZ, move all the files off the card and format it. Than load up DC11, apps, kernel.

damn, i was afraid of that. i had since done that coming from GB, it ruined my sd card somehow but formatting it did fix it. ill have to try it at home as i have a bunch of stuff on my card (3.5gbs left mostly music) and last time it took about an hour moving stuff off then putting back on. ill keep trying other methods until the weekend which should give me enough time for the process.

You might be able to just delete the .android_secure, Android, and data folders only. But I would back those up first.

This is the best idea yet! I've mentioned it before, but its kinda of a PITA to do since it requires you to backup your ROM, followed by connecting to the computer via usb and mounting your SD Card and I would recomend exactly that.

> make your backup
> wipe everything once minus SD Card
> install rom
> install Google Apps
> install anything else you want [kernel]
> wipe everything minus system/boot again/SD Card
> mount USB device on your computer
> delete the .android_secure folder if its there
> delete the android folder
> go into your pictures folder usually called 'DCIM' and delete the .thumbnails folder and the 100ANDRO folder if they are there.

the reason is the device automatically saves certain aspects of things to the SD Card and its been known to cause issues from one ROM to the next, not always needed but sometimes it is.

hope this helps :)
