[ROM] Liberty Gingerbread

Im on the rooted version of Gingerbread.. 2.3.3 4.5.596. I previously flashed v0.7 and it knocked out my 3G after using the customizer so i wiped and went back to GB.. Now i just wiped and flashed v0.8 and I have no 3G again... whats the deal??

I'm having issues with Music Beta. I wiped data before going to 0.8, reinstalled Music app, and gave it permissions. Still none of my library shows up, just the music stored on my device. Anyone else have this issue?

I had the same issue too. I was able to fix it by uninstalling Google Music, re-installing it, then I went into the music settings and re-synced it with my gmail account. It works as it should now!

i can't do anything on my phone-thats the problem. I keep getting fisted (pun intended).

You will need to sbf. Then follow the link in the OP to grab the zip files to take you from .340 to GB OTA. Then flash Liberty.

Any idea or time line on an upgrade from 2.0.1 to GB?

We're still working on trying to make this happen. There's an issue with trying to combine the two zip GB install into one singular file. We haven't forgotten, its just not playing nicely.

I am back on 2.0.1. So I need to run the 2 part file to get the leak before I go into the donate toolbox and run the nightlie?

Did you SBF to get back to .340 then re-installed Liberty 2.0.1??? To get on Liberty GB you have to be on the stock rooted .596. You can't go straight from Liberty 2.0.1 to Liberty GB or to Stock .596. You have to be on rooted stock .340 then install the two part rooted .596 GB, then flash Liberty GB over that. The newest LGB is based off of the .596 base. Make a backup of stock rooted .596 to have a restore point, then you won't have to SBF to .340 anymore, unless something goes really bad.

When the final version (1.0?) is released, is the Liberty Team planning on making all of the stock icons (gmail, market, dialer, etc..) yellow? I know on previous versions (1.5,2.0) this was the case. I actually like the yellow, I just miss the "natural theme" of Liberty.

Well I went for .08, but the no 3g issue and some other things were driving me nuts. So, I downgraded to .07 and watermarked my Liberty!! I love it so far except a couple of things and I need help ASAP.

- Accounts: I have added all my aco****s, yet yahoo and corporate do not tell me that I have emails???? This one is very important to me.

- Also, if it is possible, can you get the blur messing app installed back on to support these?

- Facebook: I sorta like the blur Social Networking app, so I put it back on via the customizer. It show facebook in there, but not anything else. I can see it in the widgets, but it will not add it to my screen.

If I can just get these few minor issues resolved, I will be in total rom heaven.

Not sure if this will help since you have re-flashed Liberty multiple times. Way back on v0.5 or v0.4 after initial boot, I also had no 3G. I just re-flashed Liberty right over the top without wiping and it fixed my problem. Not sure if it will help you out, but I guess it is worth a try.

3 days to stock

After literally spending 3 days (and many beers) to get back to .340 stock and then to rooted .596, I am finally on Liberty 0.7. Except for some small issues mentioned by others previously, I am loving this ROM. Couple of comments that might help some of you out there:

1. Maderstock .340 did not work for me. This is a .zip file that promises to take you back to stock .340 without flashing the sbf.

2. When flashing back to .340 stock, RDS lite had problems recognizing the sbf file when using Win7 64 bit. I flashed using a Winxp box without an issue.

3. After installing Liberty 0.6, the phone was rebooting every 10 mins. Determined that this was due to some old recovered profiles in Droid Overclock. I deleted, re-installed and recreated profiles. Reboots have stopped.

4. When going from Liberty 0.6 to 0.7, do not choose the the setup launcher to be the default. (DUH). Unless you can get to clockwork recovery, you may have to flash the .sbf again and start all over.

All in all, It was worth the the hassle. Wish I would have done it sooner. This ROM is absolutely AWESOME!!

so i've done some research, and can't find a lot of info on getting back to .340 via sbf on mac. if i'm wrong, will someone please link me a way?

I'll try maderstock, but wouldn't it work to flash back to stock, unroot, then get the rooted gingerbread? Does this not work?
