Make sure your radio Baseband version ends in .12P When I had the no 3G i was on .07P baseband version. I wiped and reflashed and still couldnt get 3g. After I worked around to get it to .12p liberty worked fine. If you have .12p, well....wipe, reflash .zip in CWR.
I've got Baseband version ending in .12p, but I've noticed that 3G seems to hang around 1 or 2 bars all the time. On 2.0.1 I'd get 3-4 in the same places. I haven't really done much in the way of research on it yet, just something I've been seeing.

O, and this ROM is absolutely fantastic. I shall be donating shortly!

The same thing is with me too....hmm. Well at least it works :)

Same here. I thought it was maybe because i installed the linear voice search? Maybe not.

Droid 2 Liberty GB v0.8

Yea. You have to use a root uninstaller and uninstall it. Reboot the phone, then download it. Thats what i did and it worked for me. Hope this helps!

I don't know exactly what page it was on but someone posted a screen shot a while back of the change log in one of the posts. I believe it was in this thread or one of the sticky threads.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

okay, i guess the only way to get to enjoy gingerbread root is to get an xp version running on my mac. So I guess it's time to leave behind the world of rooting for a while until I understand how the hell this all works. If I just unroot completely, can I just upgrade to gingerbread proper? I'm for sure not going to buy xp and fight with windows software for anything in the world.

Sorry to be so late with this , but you might try this link:

I followed the instructions quite well. Installed the rooted ginerbread (part 1 and 2). Things booted up fine. I then went back into bootstrap recovery and installed liberty. I followed instructions on here to a T.

When I tried to reboot I get stuck at the liberty eagle boot animation. It has been there for 20 minutes. I've done several battery pulls but nothing works.

I tried to get back into stock recovery by holding down power and home button, but when the little android and exclamation point comes up, nothing happens when I press the search button.

Any suggestions? Am I going to have to SBF and start over?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you wipe data after installing GB but before installing Liberty?

I think you have to hold power+home, then press volume down+up, not search. They changed it with GB. Once you get in there, wipe everything (data, cache, dalvik cache) and see what happens.

Gingerbread Stock Recovery
1. Turn your phone off.
2. Hold down “Home” and press the “Power”. Hold them until the Motorola logo appears
3. Release the “Power” button, but continue to hold the “Home” button until you see an exclamation mark (!)
4. Release the “Home” button and press the “Volume UP & Down” keys at the same time once (and only once!)
5. Power button to select and Volume up and down to scroll

After installing the 2-part GB update, what Liberty version did you flash? Did you go straight to .8?
