so i've done some research, and can't find a lot of info on getting back to .340 via sbf on mac. if i'm wrong, will someone please link me a way?

I'll try maderstock, but wouldn't it work to flash back to stock, unroot, then get the rooted gingerbread? Does this not work?

Not really sure about the mac. I have a PC.

I don't think you can use the maderstock zip, while it works to get you to "stock," I have read that it is missing some important files needed to go to GB that the SBF includes.

Well I went for .08, but the no 3g issue and some other things were driving me nuts. So, I downgraded to .07 and watermarked my Liberty!! I love it so far except a couple of things and I need help ASAP.

- Accounts: I have added all my aco****s, yet yahoo and corporate do not tell me that I have emails???? This one is very important to me.

- Also, if it is possible, can you get the blur messing app installed back on to support these?

- Facebook: I sorta like the blur Social Networking app, so I put it back on via the customizer. It show facebook in there, but not anything else. I can see it in the widgets, but it will not add it to my screen.

If I can just get these few minor issues resolved, I will be in total rom heaven.

Dont drink the Maderstock koolaid. After using maderstock to revert to .340, I tried the OTA to .596 and it failed after the red motorola splash screen. This left my phone only being able to boot into the bootloader menu. This also happened when I tried the Part 1 and Part 2 GB updates.

The easy is to simply follow the instructions and links on the OP page. Get your hands on an XP box for the .sbf flash and then follow the instruction to the letter.

What themes work with v0.8 i want to try storm shadow ultimate but it says for v0.6 & v0.7 and blue haze minimal says for v0.5 im not sure if i can flash these without losing the new features of 0.8

So I guess it's time to leave behind the world of rooting for a while until I understand how the hell this all works. If I just unroot completely, can I just upgrade to gingerbread proper? I'm for sure not going to buy xp and fight with windows software for anything in the world.

Im on the rooted version of Gingerbread.. 2.3.3 4.5.596. I previously flashed v0.7 and it knocked out my 3G after using the customizer so i wiped and went back to GB.. Now i just wiped and flashed v0.8 and I have no 3G again... whats the deal??

Yea I'm on V0.8 and I have no 3G too! I would really appreciate some help or if someone would shed some light on this?? Thanks in advance!

Make sure your radio Baseband version ends in .12P When I had the no 3G i was on .07P baseband version. I wiped and reflashed and still couldnt get 3g. After I worked around to get it to .12p liberty worked fine. If you have .12p, well....wipe, reflash .zip in CWR.

Forgive me Liberty Father for I have sinned, I installed ZombieStomped yesterday and am regretting it.

I was wondering if, since I installed ZS over 596 and Liberty GB is also for 596, so I'm assuming same kernel, would it be safe to do a restore to Liberty GB v0.7? I'd probably have to wipe the dalvik cache right? Thanks in advance!

Haha! I did the same thing! I wanted to try zs. Im actually typing this post on zs. I agree with ya. Im not a fan. I also tried apex last night which I have to say is freakin awesome. Fastest rom out. I miss liberty too much though so im going back now. I've jumped to all 3 roms in a day so yes you can wipe and go back to liberty. That's what im doing right......now!

Nope. Not on my d2 at least I've literally been on 3 different roms in like 12 hours. If I were you though, while you're at it, try apex for an hour or two. I'm back on liberty now, but i gotta say, apex was blazing. I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

I've got Baseband version ending in .12p, but I've noticed that 3G seems to hang around 1 or 2 bars all the time. On 2.0.1 I'd get 3-4 in the same places. I haven't really done much in the way of research on it yet, just something I've been seeing.

O, and this ROM is absolutely fantastic. I shall be donating shortly!

Wheres the themes that work with 0.8? The themes sensei has are for 0.6 0.7 0.5 and lower
