I just flashed the rotting apple boot animation from bb 0.4. How would I go about flashing that w/ this ROM?

i have the rotting apple boot animation for download through Absolute System v.0.1.1, you goto the goodies menu and download Boot Animations, select rotting apple :) and it'll download and install it

you can get the wallpapers, boot animations, and other stuff through either Terminal Emulator (su, *enter*, allinone, *enter*, and choose options) or Absolute Systems. i think Absolute Systems is easier and more intuitive, but it seems to still be a WIP. but either one works - i've tried them both.

sweet thanks!

I just flashed a chevy 1.2LV kernal. I have used this kernal in the past on at least 4 different ROMs w/out problems at all. Now, however after flashing it shows the M logo, then goes dark for a few seconds...then the M logo comes back and over and over. Can I assume this is a boot loop and how do I get out of it?

edit: Damnit I have to do a nandroid restore. It figures. The one time I didn't do a nandroid backup before flashing. I did backup the ROM w/ ROM manager today. This nandroid is going back to mid July. Once I gain access to the phone again will I be able to use ROM manager to restore the backup I made today?

i had the exact same issue earlier today. once it started to reboot again, i took out the battery, and then did a hard boot (??) into recovery (power+x), reflashed LithMod with stock kernel, and then used ROM Mgr to flash LithMod with one of p3's kernels. i couldn't ever get Chevy to work...

Ah f%^&C^&*C^(C^&C### that will teach me not to do a nandroid every time I flash. Man I had everything perfectly themed before w/ bb 0.4 and it was the best so far. ROM manager doesn't have today's update as far as I can tell. It says, 2010-06-18.06.49.16 as the newest whatever that means.

son of a ab*t*&. Live and learn

LithMod is in ROM Mgr - just hit "download rom", and look under JRummy's section. once you decide to download, it will give you choices for different themes, kernels, etc. i installed the Blue theme with p3's 125/1000 kernel - quadrant score of between 1080 and 1125.

anyone having issues with their phone being SUUUUUUPER laggy when someone calls??? my phone will vibrate like 5 or 6 times before the screen even turns on for me to answer it.

on kangerade i noticed that too, system just dont like cpu to be at 125, its just a bit too slow for it, i changed to p3 kernel where that its low was 250 and i dont get that anymore

I did actually get this, and I am running the P3 250/1250 LV kernel with my screen off CPU set at 250. It vibrated 3 or 4 times before the screen came on, and my custom ringtone didnt work.

I fell into the same boot loop after flashing the ChevyNo1 Kernel. He updated on 2010-08-01. See here for the update post.

I'm not sure if the previous ChevyNo1 boot loops but the new one from August 1st sure does. I tried several of them and couldn't get any to work.

Currently on a P3 kernel.

Man, I leave the country for a couple of weeks and return to all sorts of ROM-my goodness. Love it. Anyway...

Froyo actually likes 125 much better than earlier builds where it didn't work at all. The issues you guys are reporting is like related to a combination of settings, specifically the min/max settings as well as the Sampling Rate.

The problem is that when a call (or other notification) comes in, several things need to happen in the phone, and if the CPU is stuck at 125, then it can't throttle up in time to do everything it needs to do efficiently. SkullOne has a pretty good explanation of his testing and results in his overclocking thread, but the punch line is that you can use the 125 min, but want to set the max to 500 or so with a reasonable Sampling Rate and Up Threshold to allow the phone to quickly throttle up too execute all of the tasks needed when a call comes in. Setting it that way will still get you the battery savings of 125 most of the time when the screen is off, but allow it to be properly responsive when it needs to.

I just flashed the ROM and have been trying it out with the stock kernel, but I'm going to try the P3 1000 LV kernel I've used with past builds later today. I had my SetCPU pretty tweaked out, but I'm getting the idea I'll have to run a new round of tests with Lithium. After I can get to that, I can let you know what seems to be working for me (although your settings will likely be slightly different for your phone or what you're trying to do).

Thank you for putting reboot into recovery back on for long press on power button. I have missed that. I'm using Red Glass and love it so far.
