while we're at it... anyone else having any problems running ADW?? everything was running smoothly for a few days, and then all of a sudden this morning i started getting a bunch of FC's, and error messages about ADW. i tried to reboot, and i also tried to just switch launchers, but it kept going back to ADW (even tho i asked to set LP as default) and giving me problems. i finally had to uninstall ADW.

once i switched to LP, i can't resize any of my widgets. is this an LP issue?? i thought choosing the widget size was part of the rom, but maybe i'm wrong...

i've also seen a theory that Superuser 2.2.2 might be part of the problem, but i can't figure out how to get back to 2.1.1... any thoughts??

finally, i was getting an "internal error" msg and FC while trying to run Quadrant. had to uninstall and reinstall that one, too...

I'm pretty sure that resizing widgets is an ADW thing and LP doesn't do it at all. You mean like, when you install a widget, it will ask "what size should this be?" and it'll let you pick 4x1 or 2x2 or whatever?

Man, I leave the country for a couple of weeks and return to all sorts of ROM-my goodness. Love it. Anyway...

on kangerade i noticed that too, system just dont like cpu to be at 125, its just a bit too slow for it, i changed to p3 kernel where that its low was 250 and i dont get that anymore

Froyo actually likes 125 much better than earlier builds where it didn't work at all. The issues you guys are reporting is like related to a combination of settings, specifically the min/max settings as well as the Sampling Rate.

The problem is that when a call (or other notification) comes in, several things need to happen in the phone, and if the CPU is stuck at 125, then it can't throttle up in time to do everything it needs to do efficiently. SkullOne has a pretty good explanation of his testing and results in his overclocking thread, but the punch line is that you can use the 125 min, but want to set the max to 500 or so with a reasonable Sampling Rate and Up Threshold to allow the phone to quickly throttle up too execute all of the tasks needed when a call comes in. Setting it that way will still get you the battery savings of 125 most of the time when the screen is off, but allow it to be properly responsive when it needs to.

I just flashed the ROM and have been trying it out with the stock kernel, but I'm going to try the P3 1000 LV kernel I've used with past builds later today. I had my SetCPU pretty tweaked out, but I'm getting the idea I'll have to run a new round of tests with Lithium. After I can get to that, I can let you know what seems to be working for me (although your settings will likely be slightly different for your phone or what you're trying to do).

I have mine set at a min of 400 and max of 800. should i be getting lag problems with those settings??? i actually missed a call this morning because the phone was vibrating but the stupid screen wouldnt turn on....... that's a deal breaker for me. i was running cyanogen 6 rc2 and didn't have this problem at all......

Um, maybe? One thing I've noticed with SetCPU is that if the kernel is changed, it doesn't alway pick up on those right away and can wind up with weird settings, so I also run the device selection routine before anything else to make sure it knows what's going on.

After that, with the settings that you have, you are also going to need to look at any profiles you have running as well as what you have for Advanced settings. The key ones to pay attention to are going to be Sampling Rate, then Up Threshold.

There is a brilliant study of all of this here:

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/47871-overclocking-101-a.html

Yes, it's long, but it's a must-read in my opinion, as it really gets into the details of this stuff and how to get the best results for what you want to do.

Look at post #3 for some details that specifically address how these settings can affect things like ringtones (it's toward the bottom, but if you don't read the whole thing it won't make much sense).

I STRONGLY encourage everybody to read that thread completely when you have the time, but I can tell you that my settings are:

Sampling Rate: 32000
Up Threshold: 93

Screen Off Profile: Priority 100, 500/125 ondemand.

I just tried calling myself under a few different scenarios (screen on, screen off, etc.) and it woke up and performed perfectly each time, so I'm thinking you probably want to check the specific SetCPU settings you have.

As I mentioned, I'm still using the stock kernel for now and probably won't flash the P3 until tonight. Once I do, I'll let you know how it turns out.

yeah, that's what i meant. i might try to reinstall ADW and see what happens. like i said, i like LP better, but picking the widget size is pretty nice. i might also follow Corinacakes' recommendation and try Sweeterhome...

A big +1 for SweeterHome. I will extend the caution that it is still beta, and you come across some occasionally wonky behavior, but nothing else out there really matches the level of customization you can get to with it.

Anyone else getting FC on maps with the Gala theme when trying to go into any options in it... Also take awhile to lock on to location once I open maps

So far out of the themed Lithium Mod ROMs this one is the only one with this issue(tried: alternative black, watermark'd, nex tang and stock) all those work with GPS and maps

Any programs I use like goby or aloqa can get my GPS location pretty quick it looks like it just might be maps. I have reloaded this theme twice and both with 3x wipe data/cache same results

I am using "Red Glass Theme" although it doesnt look quite like those screen shots, that the one I dl'd.

Anyways I am having the same problems with MAPS. Navigation seems to be working, I hope I can fix this, b/c I use maps ALL the time :(

Hey is anyone else having problems with the gallery? Its acting up on my wife's droid and mine. Gets all laggy and stops responding, pictures take forever to load,. you know that kind of stuff.

I decided to give this a shot since I've been hearing alot of great things about it. It's running great, but I am also having issues with the gallery. It is very slow to load and also it doesn't show all my folders like downloads, icons etc. It only shows backgrounds, camera, cache and dropbox.

I tried searching but didn't see an answer to this issue.

Thanks!

I just checked on mine, and, yes, I am having a similar issue. All of my pictures are showing up, but I will occasionally get a FC if I try to open a folder that has a lot of images.

I also have one video I shot on the Droid a few ROMs ago, every time I try to play it, I get a FC about 5 seconds in.

Lithium Mod vs UD Extreme 5.0.1

Question, I am currently on UD 5.0.1 is this better? Has anyone switched over to this ROM from UD that can give feedback?

for what it's worth I installed this Rom, then flashed the Chevy 1.2LV that I had used w/ every rom in the past and I had my first boot loop.

I went back to bb 0.4 and flashed the chevy 1.2LV w/ Rom manager and it works OK.
