[ROM]One small step for man one giant leap for --- Liberty 1.5 2/2/2011

Well Sephtin I ended up giving your suggestion a try tonight because your theme cooker looked too sweet and I couldnt wait to try it! Anyways the pulldown bar editor still does not work but I guess I can live without it. However I really liked the battery icons and dropdown backgrounds that you have in the theme cooker and was wondering if it would work if I installed just that over my watermarkD theme?
Thanks for the helpdancedroid

Have been asked that before...
.. If only themes could patch files, instead of completely replacing them. :(

It would work, but you'd lose any other differences between the framework file you created via my site, and the framework file in Watermark'd.

...
Now.. fast forward a few weeks from now, when I can safely put themes on the site that include applications (etc.).. I seriously hope that some of the theme devs might show an interest in having me host their themes... If that's the case, then it would be as simple as selecting it as an option. We'll see.

Lots of plans for the site... and sorry if I'm de-railing the thread. :(

Ok that makes sense. I am really looking forward to when you expand your site and make things like that a possibility. You got a great start on it already, so I got it bookmarked and will be waiting for any future developments. thanks man

Ok I was having issues and this is how I got it to work... I am not sure what was causing the issues to be honest but I reported them to Jrummy16..

I simply install Liberty over the top without a wipe and it now works :P

To be honest though I make a lot of changes to the base messing around working on other issues and for the ROM so it could have been something I had done to cause the issue for myself.

I tried that but then I installed the watermarks theme again before I tried it so could it be a problem with that theme?

Has anyone tried to install the big crystal dx theme from the toolbox? I tried it today and it just said downloading/installing theme for like 10 minutes and my phone started getting hot so I stopped it. Not a big deal but that theme looks cool and would like to try it. Blue gingerbread for now...

Hmm, check in the theme, if either of the following files exist, then yes, that could be causing the problem:
/data/liberty/pulldown_text.txt
/data/liberty/current_pulldown_text

Both of those files either need to be replaced (correctly).. or completely left alone. If the theme doesn't do anything to them.. then my best guess is the script. I'm sure JRummy will look at it.

To anyone else having the issue.. the contents of those two files could def. help us understand exactly what's going on!

this is by far the best and smoothest rom out. I do have a question tho, I wanted to try a different bootanimation that someone made. I downloaded it to my sd card. Does it have to be made just for the x? If not, do I place it somewhere special on my sd card and how do I install it? In the toolbox there is an option to install bootanimation.zip. Thank you for any help.

The bootaninmation.zip is located in the data/local folder of your file manager with this rom. You would have to rename the file you have on you sd card to read exactly bootanimation.zip and place it in the data/ local folder. You will either have to delete or rename the existing bootanimation.zip file in that folder. I always rename mine bootanimation.zip.bak so that if i want to use it down the road its always there. I like to do mine manually and have never tried the toolbox option.

+1 for detox's statement. I do exactly the same thing on all three of my Droids, and have never had any problems.
