[ROM]One small step for man one giant leap for --- Liberty 1.5 2/2/2011

Not to nitpick, but having the mount r/w in the toolbox seems redundant. What I did was put my .zip on the SD card (I have several boot animations in their own file) and used the tool to apply it. Worked but seems like a workaround.

Wasn't this version supposed to have custom ringtones for different contacts or am I missing somrthing?
some of us who use custom ringtones had problems making them "stick" but the devs in their infinite wisdom have solved this problem. If you want to use custom ringtones for contacts you can download and asign them through a program on the market such as ZEDGE or you can use music files already on your phone, Just #1 open a contact #2 press menu #3 press options #4 press ringtone #5 select android system #6 choose ringtone, click OK and your done!

This is awesome and mostly works on the Sony Xperia X10 - I've installed it from the market to an X10a and found with a little more work this will work for Xperia users as it does for Droid X users - Can I assist with the porting?

Thread about this around build.prop arrived on XDA dev forum under X10 development tonight over here.

Did you get permission from the author to port?
The Liberty Toolbox was meant as a perk to Liberty users on DroidX...

My real question.. is there is problem with RootTools app by JRummy on the Xperia? Root Tools - Android app on AppBrain

I know that app was meant to work across multiple ROMs and devices at least. Should have similar functionality as well (Liberty toolbox is based from it).

I'm trying to get in contact at this point and want a full port to the x10 if permitted.

Also uses aspects from other developers including the prop.editor for editing build.prop files

I've just purchased it and am checking into it and will let you know!

No - doesn't work as well as Liberty toolbox. Think that development might have ended on this, even though it's in the market, it isn't working at least not very well on the x10.

My battery life has been terrible with liberty 1.5. Any suggestions guys?

second that....i've been trying to figure that out.
That's crazy weird...I just got in here to post about how much better my battery life was than 1.0 did you wipe before install? Change any LCD density settings or anything in toolbox?

I second that, battery life has been great!!

As I now think about it, it seems every time I try a new rom people are complaining about battery life, not to make anybody mad, but I wonder if that is just because those people cant stop messing with there phone? I mean like when you get a new car, you drive it all over town and burn up a lot of gas! Just my way of doing things, but when I install a new rom I get my phone back in working order, charge it fully and do a battery wipe, then I let it sit "STOCK" for a day or two to let everything settle down. Please people start having a little patience, dont rush to make changes, make them a little at a time. That way when something doesnt respond like you want or you start eating a lot of power, you know where to begin to fix things. Just an observationdancedroid

Well I have had nothing but issues with the new E-mail app and my Exchange accounts. Going back to 1.0 for now and hopefully this will be fixed in the next release.

Kejar if your reading, I think my issues may be based around the fact that the PIN lock that my Exchange server requires is hacked around in 1.5.

I'm going to Third that one. Battery life is fantastic and I've even OC'd at 1350 using DX/D2 Overclocker. (Stable w/no reboots even playing Angry Birds, lol) Normal to moderately heavy usage and she runs strong all day. I'm around 20-30% by the end of the day, but my DX is off the charger from 7:30AM - 11:00PM.

On an added note, Liberty runs lightning fast. Faster than any Rom I've used before. I came from DarkSlide v4.2. Quadrant score below now that I'm Liberty v1.5.

I personally use Touchdown for Exchange (the Froyo version). It works perfectly. 30 Day trial, too.
