I have to report that my Battery Life is outstanding, however I will keep an eye on "How to Improve your Battery Life" sticky. I installed Lib 1.5 last Friday, NO Problems as of yet!!

so ive been running liberty 1.5 for about a week now and i have to say it is fantastic. i have not had a ramdon reeboot or force close. im running a stock created by septins website and it is running flawlessly. i did have one reeboot when i connected to my compuyter via usb that ive dealt with worse so its no biggie. i especially love the gallery on liberty and the music player thats transparent.

One bug I am having is my phone will go into silent mode at random times. I have no rom themes but am running ADW EX with Gala S theme for ADW. I have no other mods, not over clocked either. It happens at various times just recently it happened after I spent 20 min texting with GO SMS.

edit.. It just happened again with my phone just sitting on the table. This is causing me to miss calls.

I tried that but then I installed the watermarks theme again before I tried it so could it be a problem with that theme?

Hmm, check in the theme, if either of the following files exist, then yes, that could be causing the problem:
/data/liberty/pulldown_text.txt
/data/liberty/current_pulldown_text

Both of those files either need to be replaced (correctly).. or completely left alone. If the theme doesn't do anything to them.. then my best guess is the script. I'm sure JRummy will look at it.

To anyone else having the issue.. the contents of those two files could def. help us understand exactly what's going on!

Yes both of these files do exist and I do see my custom text listed in the second one, it just does not apply after I reboot.

Hey everybody,

I have had my X rooted since I got it a while ago and I was running Liberty 1.0. After I upgraded I had to go back down because every time I try to restore my apps they get restored but they then force close. Can anybody tell if they've experienced this before with this or any ROM and they fixed it. I want to run liberty 1.5 but want my data from apps too.

Have you ever reinstalled Liberty 1.5 ? Just do it right on top of your current Liberty 1.5 Rom
Just do this with NO wipes this may clear up the issue and will not mess with your settings.

I have not tried that and I might give it a go thanks. Everything else works great and I would hate to have to go back to liberty one but that ROM was great too. Whatever happens liberty will be on my phone!

Yes but usually it will just play some sort of tone.

Browser zoom buttons

Is there a setting in the browser to get rid of the zoom toggle buttons in the bottom right corner? If there is, I have not been able to find it.

Just figured out the bootanimation question I had earlier. I downloaded a few different ones, placed one on the sd card, not in my downloads folder, made sure it was the only one named bootanimation.zip. Went to toolbox and went to manage bootanimations, install bootanimation.zip and it did all the work for me. It uninstalled the old and installed the new one. Rebooted and there it was!
