Unthrottle is fully integrated now.. As users we do nothing. I made the same mistake. :)

This is not true. Right below that statement in the op is the instructions for using unthrottle. In terminal su enter ut.sh enter follow instructions from there. If this don't work for you. You might have the unthrottle folder from shifter or other ROM. This folder should have been deleted before installing a new ROM as it dose not seem to over write the folder.

Hope this helps

Prior to updating from 2.4 to 2.5, I deleted the unthrottle folder. I'm guessing that was a mistake. After finishing the update I ran the ut.sh script and I'm getting an error that it cannot create true unthrottle/backup directory.

Anything I can do other than a full wipe and starting fresh with the 2.3 base?

If you still have the base rom for purity you can open the zip file and copy the Unthrottled folder to your SD card. This should fix you right up. Once on your SD card you can run the script through Terminal.

This is correct, The Tpax do not effect the Framework of Android. This is why we can Load Tpax without Formatting every thing. I have run the Unthrottle Script after installing a Tpax and have not had an issue from doing it. At this point I would say its User choice LOL but will not hurt any thing ( I skip option 1 when doing it after installing a Tpax as you still have the original save from the first time you ran it.)

Thanks. I think that fixed it. I got a message that the unthrottle folder couldn't be found in sdcard-ext so I coppied it there as well.

Not unless I change it. None of the TPaX replace the services.jar. So, if you have ran unthrottle before, it stays. :)

Ok all, still having issues after I installed the 2.4 ROM the other day. Since it doesnt have Backup Assistant I cant get my contacts back without it. I did not have them in gmail as I dont use it. They should be on Verizon but need the BU Assistant. I downloaded the files from here Droid Bionic: Apps That Are Safe To Remove Once Rooted - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com but that didnt work. Anyone else have any suggestions on where to get the Backup Assistant apk from? Within TiBu it shows the Backup Assistant 2.3.4 but will not restore it at all. Thanks. Once I get this figured out I can install 2.5.......

BA is not going to work on Purity, it is bloat and the core it needs has been gutted. If you log in on you computer to VZW you can export them. Drop that file on your SD card and import them.

:)
