For those afraid of the update it works fine without it just did it at work and no problems. Just my two cents for what its worth
Have you been able to flash back to a non leaked nandroid?
Yes I never used the leak so yes I can flash back in fact just did it just to be sure plus my bootloader never changed because I didn't use the update.
By the way quadrant standard doesn't work though just get some kinda error but it doesn't run
Quick question. I also installed the rom without applying the leak as well and so far no issues. All this talk about the bootloader got me curious so I checked and im on 30.03. Never thought to check what I was on before so im not sure if this rom bumped me up from .01 to .03. Long story short, does having bootloader 30.03 mean I am still ok as far as trying to restore to a previous non 2.2.1 recovery or sbf if for some reason I wanted to? Ive only seen mentions about 30.04 bootloader. If this has already been answered, my apologies for beating a dead horse.

2.3.15 version is up now. Running on my phone just fine (which btw is on the newest leak) so let me know how it goes.
for 2.3.15:
Fixed calendar stuff
added script to fix poweramp ( type pwramp in terminal ) (didn't test it though) thx fab for the fix
changed animations to ones I liked better.
Couldnt of received a better answer! This is exactly the clarification i was looking for!!! Thanks a million for the help!!Quick question. This isn't 100% accurate, but for all practical purposes:
--30.01 is the original shipping DroidX Bootloader. Use 2.1 .SBF to restore
--30.03 is the OTA 2.2 update. Replacement phones, and current new phones (I believe) come with this Bootloader.
--30.04 is the leak, AND also SOME recent replacement phones.
This is believed to be the cause of a large number of bricks from loading the leak.. as opposed to because "some people just shouldn't be loading ROMs" as some a$$h@ts have suggested, as there is believed to be a possible issue upgrading from the 30.04 bootloader to the leak. (Last I read anyway, might be old info (??)..
If you have the 30.03 bootloader, you should be ok to .sbf/restore/whatever to previous versions.

Wow, the 2.3.20 peeps don't get any calendar-fixed love?
I don't know...I didn't download this yesterday because when I read his OP it was relatively clear to me that this would bring me to the leak version. Maybe people just read it too fast in there excitement and missed it (so not likely all Jrummys fault here)...in any event I'm sorry for all those who did have problems. There is a leak SBF available so make sure you get it...it will likely save you some cash if you run into trouble. And above all dont go to any ROM that uses 2.3.15 anymore. There are only a couple of ROMs that use the leak so you still have options (Rubix (get the correct version, tranquility 3.5(i think that is the right one), and the new Apex, I dont know about Fission) It looks like the install instructions have changed since yesterday and it is nice and clear now. Again, truly sorry for people who had problems =( and I hope this helps some of you avoid issues going forward.
No....freaking....way. I have been flashing ROMs for years and I read through that OP 2X over before beginning the install and then I followed it line by line as I flashed it. No where does it tell you that the 11.9mb miscellaneous update file is actually the equivalent of updating to the TBH 130mb leak that permanently updates your bootloader and system....
Note: It has been briefly tested to still work without installing the leak (updating boot loader, etc.) but try this at your own risk and post back results.
Thats ^ EXACTLY what I thought I was doing and I followed the instructions line by line after that header for installing the ROM if you are not on the leak. Trust me when I say if I wanted to flash the leak I would have done the full leak by myself, on my terms and then looked for a ROM to flash later. This is the only ROM I have seen that bamboozles you into flashing the leak with no warning whatsoever.
JRummy really needs to put a warning in the install instructions telling users what that miscellaneous file actually does because it was a big surprise to me.
Am I upset? Yeah, I am a little bit burnt. But you will also notice I have been one of the main supporters in this thread because I am trying to make the best of the situation and this ROM is actually pretty good. JRummy has my personal thanks for the immense amount of work that went into this beautiful piece of art.

I wasn't singling anyone out or blaming anyone. This was just my opinion and my experience and tried to give some other helpful information. Maybe it wasn't clear...i know I wasn't sure so I didn't do anything and when I got no reply to my question I didn't try it. So, sorry you are butt hurt, so direct your rant at Rummy if you feel that way and not me.
I did the automatic file restore, however the market is still trying to download everything again.... can I make it stop????
